Any recs on the most comfortable masks that are compliant with the airlines? Flying in a few weeks and while I find most masks fine for a while, the cloth and paper ones I've worn all get kinda uncomfortable after a while. Maybe there are no good options, just wondering...

Take a look at Happy Masks. They have extra room with a "beak" that sticks out a little. My son wears them to school and says they are comfortable to wear all day. I don't have one because I don't need one for that long at a time, but I'd probably get one if I needed to wear one for an extended length of time. They're a bit pricey, but could be worth it.

SHEMA97 masks at www.helmetfitting.com. A lot of college coaches wore these on the sidelines last season. I have two and have had no issues with comfort at all.

I got one from Target that was a double layered cloth mask and was kind of loose on the ear loops. I used scissors to remove the inner cloth layer and it became easy to breathe through and loose enough due to the loops that I could hang it in front of my nose where the air would go around it instead of through it or just below my nose. I thought it was much more comfortable than other masks.

Yes, they can tag you where you have to go in for an interview when you try and fly next time. It is just for that airline FYI, and he was able to have an interview and get off of it, but when he got to the airport to fly home from the trip they told him he was on an American no fly list, and he had to go in for an interview to get off of it, basically professing that he would not violate their requirements again.

What about a mask that is comfortable when you have shingles on the back of your neck and scalp, all around the ear, and the chin and jaw?

Now, if I was flying or when I go to Disney, I'll have a backup. I've used this for coaching because of the charade of masks outdoors by those vaccinated. I've worn it to about 10 MLB games this year with no mention of it's ineffectiveness. Actually hard to tell its mesh when on.

TSA and the airlines have started cracking down on types of masks. On my most recent trip from Denver to Kansas City, they rejected my 4-layer bandana and made me wear their ****ty cheap "surgical" masks. That was 3-times they did that.
Apparently gaiters are also not allowed.
Logic and discussion also aren't allowed, as we now live in a society that no longer values critical thinking.
At each point my bandana was rejected, I rightfully pointed out the gaps in the masks that the airport officials were wearing. Some young chick working for TSA said "well the bandana allows your breath to escape out the bottom."
Yeah, and your poorly fitted "surgical" masks allows it to go out the sides and top, next to people sitting around me in a plane. And you allow people with beards to wear masks, which totally negates the masks.
But that's where we are in society. It's all pretend because few people actually think for themselves or are willing to stand up for truth and logic. Especially our "leaders."
It just amazes me they are so obsessed with masks and types of masks now, yet they don't say anything if you have a giant free-flowing beard with a poorly fitted "surgical" mask over it.

That ish right there is why we won't be flying anymore until common sense returns and tyranny is thwarted. Luckily, we are retired and can afford to take the time to drive. Lots of places in the mainland to go to that aren't BSC.

Korean KN-94 is much better than china 95, especially if you like adjustable ear loops...LG makes a quality mask available on amazon
