If they can't then they're on the same level as our current players

I remember they interviewed Gary Blair during a volleyball match last year and he said he could build a hell of a basketball team with those girls.

Based on what I have observed in the JrHigh/High School level, there has been a rather noticeable shift in tall athletic female talent away from hoops and into volleyball over the past 5+ years. I've seen several stand-out AAU basketball players switch their primary focus to volleyball once they start playing in school (if not before). I'm not here to speculate on the reason(s), but just look at the daughters of many former college and NBA players pursuing volleyball rather than hoops as a broader example. The sport has been gaining huge momentum and growth at the youth level and becoming the go-to for many (most?) tall, athletic, explosive female athletes. I predict it will overtake women's basketball in popularity at the collegiate ranks in the very near future, especially if these new US pro leagues continue to develop into a viable post-college option for players.

Yeah, watching the All-American match it was noticeable how many All-Americans are from Texas.
