Monday Lunch time notes
Five-star Shemar Stewart has returned from Georgia, where as you would expect the Bulldogs pulled out all the stops. In talking to a few sources it looks like it remains a three-team race between Texas A&M, Georgia, and Miami. Florida is trying to make it a four team race, but the main players continue to be the three above. This week will be a busy week for Stewart. I have heard and all three teams are planning to be in Miami this week for in-home visits. Miami and Georgia will be in-home on Wednesday with both Mario Cristobal and Kirby Smart making visits. Texas A&M will be in-home on Thursday, and as we said last week, Jimbo Fisher will be in attendance. This weekend he will take his official visit to Miami and then he plans to announce his decision on National Signing Day. It's a tight race, but I still feel good about the Aggies chances. The Aggies are very much in the mix, but it is also safe to say Miami and Georgia are players in this one as well.Coach Fisher was in DFW today and stopped by Wylie East which is home to 2023 DE commit Anthony James. James will be in College Station this weekend along with fellow commits Eli Holstein and Colton Thomasson.Had to get a picture when the big boss came by! #GigEm 👍🏽 pic.twitter.com/usMWJjhhV8— Marcus Gold (@CoachMarcusGold) January 24, 2022

A pair of Duncanville 2024 standouts are making plans to be in College Station this weekend. DE/LB Colin Simmons and S Ka'Davion Dotson will be in town for the Aggies' Junior day. A few others may join them but Simmons and Dotson are confirmed. The Aggies are making plans to drop by San Antonio Brennan where 2023 S and Baylor commit Tyler Turner has been a standout. The 6-1, 180-pound defender has been offered by TCU and Texas since announcing his commitment and he visited Texas last week. He plans to visit Baylor on Sunday.
