It was a big weekend in College Station. We continue to track down info, but here's a few thoughts and notes I posted today in the other threadKiotti Armstrong's commitment is no doubt a big one. It is definitely a needle mover for the Aggies on the recruiting front, and a major recruiting win over area rivals.The early returns from the weekend are the Aggies also have some strong momentum with tight end visitors Nicholas Townsend and Chase Loftin.We have been saying Armstrong, Townsend, and Linkon Cure were all three possibilities to be together in this class, and I still think that is a reality. However, don't sleep on Chase Loftin. He visited in the spring, and he too is close with Collin Klein and Christian Ellsworth. Don't expect all four end up in a class, but Loftin is also one to watch as part of a potential three tight end group.In talking with a few sources, Brauny and I continue to hear the weekend has gone well with Bellville DL DJ Sanders. He keeps things pretty close to the vest so it's hard to say what exactly that means, but we do believe the Aggies are putting themselves in an enviable position.We continue to hear the Aggies trend positively with Sugar Land (TX) Fort Bend Christian edge Max Granville. Nothing major there, but I would put the Aggies right there at the top of his list.It also sounds like the Aggies continue to trend positively with San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights WR Michael Terry III. Nothing real major there or new coming off the weekend, but I have had a few sources give the Aggies a slight edge over the competition right now.Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee is the one prospect I would have said was the longest shot coming into the weekend, and I still get the sense he's a longshot. He arrived Wednesday and departed Friday and headed immediately to Athens (GA) and UGA. He has a top four of Alabama, Georgia, Washington, and Texas A&M so the Aggies are giving it a go, but I get the sense this one is an uphill climb.In regards to Trey McNutt III, we weren't really anticipating any big changes in status from the Cleveland (OH) playmaker following his OV. He was hosted by Shaker Heights alum Jahdae Walker and he is no stranger to College Station after visiting this spring. It is safe to say there is serious interest and I continue to hear the Aggies are under strong consideration.I continue to get the feeling Lufkin (TX) DL Zion Williams is trending elsewhere. Right now I'd probably predict LSU based on the feedback I have received. It is not to say it cannot happen, but right now, I would give the Tigers an edge on the Aggies, Horns, and Horned Frogs.Yesterday, running back Jamarion Morrow committed to Missouri, and with that news I would look for the Aggies to re-evaluate their situation a little bit and take another look at what's out there.After securing the commitment of Deondrae Riden the Aggies have continued to pursue some top backs that would complement his skillset for a two-back class, and if the right fit is out there, it would not surprise me to see that continue. If the right guy is not there, the portal is also there in December and January.

The Aggies are once again set to host several official visitors with two key prospects - WR Michael Terry and CB Dijon Lee - arriving in town today (Wednesday). The rest of the group is set to arrive on Thursday. There will also be a few unofficial visitors in town over the next few days, and there was a big one in yesterday. As always we will continue to update the list as we get confirmations, so stay tuned. The summer temperatures are already starting to heat up, just like Mike Elko and Texas A&M's recruiting efforts. With football camps set to begin in Aggieland very shortly and the Aggies' pool party just around the corner, here are some recruiting storylines to watch this summer.
