Tuesday Recruiting Notes
Red Oak wide receiver Taz Williams set a decision date for July 13 and Texas A&M, Michigan, Penn State, and SMU are his finalists. He will visit Texas A&M this weekend for his official visit and he has visits scheduled the next two weekends to Penn State (June 14) and Michigan (June 21). He has already taken his official visit to SMU.July 13th @ Red oak High school pic.twitter.com/hnbe4u9ueo— 𝑇𝑎𝑧 𝑊𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑚$ 𝐽𝑟 (@Taz_1x) June 5, 2024 The Aggies also made the cut for La Verne (CA) Bonita LB Noah Mikhail who announced his top three of Texas A&M, Oregon, and USC. He will return to College Station for his official visit the weekend of June 21, and he has OVs scheduled to USC (June 7) and Oregon (June 14). He will announce his decision on Sunday, June 30.2nd Timothy 1:7. . . He is coming off his OV to Madison and the Badgers staff has given him the full court press. He is currently scheduled to OV to A&M next weekend (June 14), but right now I get the feeling the Badgers are the team to beat. He is also considering Oregon. As I stated earlier today. I felt like this was going to be a two-man off-the-ball LB class with one more top prospect joining Kelvion Riggins. I still get that sense and right now I like the Aggies' chances the most with Mikhail right now. The Aggies hosted a couple of big DL over the weekend Palatine (IL) DL Jaylen Williams arrived for his unofficial on Friday while Tampa (FL) Robinson DE Jesse Harrold arrived on Sunday. It was Williams first trip to College Station, and it was his second plane ride. He took in all the sights and spent some quality time around the staff. The returns I've heard from his visit have been positive, and the next step is trying to get him back for an OV.Had a Great time in College station for my unofficial visit this past weekend!!! Go aggies!!Thank you @SpenceChaos @CoachBateman @CoachBather @AggieFootball @CoachMikeElko @JoshBostick8 @EDGYTIM @AllenTrieu @PHS_Football @ChadSimmons_ @TonyJerodEddie @adamgorney @ShaunCookFB pic.twitter.com/0895TLVGDZ— Jaylen williams ✞ (@jay_williams55) June 3, 2024 If the Aggies can make that happen look for the possibilities to get real on that front. Right now, I am hearing a lot of Tennessee talk with Miami and Nebraska also very much in the mix. All three currently have OVs scheduled. Purdue is another to watch there. I also hear the Aggies gave Harrold quite a bit to think about. LSU, UCF, Illinois, and Colorado are also squarely in the mix there. He currently has OVs scheduled to Illinois (June 7), UCF (June 12), LSU (June 14), and Texas A&M (June 21).

A few notes from the weekend
Everything i'm hearing is the Aggies made a strong impression on both 2026 DL/OL Lamar Brown and 2025 DL Jaylen Williams.Brown wasn't planning to do camp but jumped into the mix and blew it out water. He actually out jumped the vertical jump deal. He made the trip with his family and it sounds like the Aggies led by coaches TJE and coach Chaos and Mason Smith really did a phenomenal job making an impression. He could play DL or OL and i was told by multiple people he is a no doubt 5-star.Williams took his first trip to A&M and his second plane ride, and I'm told the visit to A&M did not disappoint. It sound like the Aggies have made themselves a real player for the Palestine (IL) standout DE.Another quick note, the Aggies are hosting another big time DE in Tampa (FL) Robinson DE Jesse Harrold. He is in town for an unofficial and looks primed to return on an OV later.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
