A few thoughts from the State Championships
Just to put a bow on it, here's a few quick thoughts from the Texas State Championships SOC-Randle was my favorite game. The back and forth. The drama. All the second guessing and explosive plays. Then it comes down to a field goal attempt as time ticks to zero. Question some calls and some coaching decisions if you will, but Randle got the job done.Austin Vandegrift was my surprise performance mainly because I didn't know a lot about them coming in and they took it too a very good Southlake Carroll team.North Crowley was my favorite performance. I saw North Crowley three times going into the weekend and even I was surprised by the speed and quickness. It was like they were playing in fast forward. Regardless they were on a mission, and they handled business in a big way. Ridiculously impressive all the way around Texas A&M signee and Richmond Randle DL Chace Sims lived up to the hype. He made plays up and down the line of scrimmage and was a constant disruption in the trenches. Brauny and I were both talking about him needing another bump on our list.Carthage 2026 LB DaQuives Beck has been on my radar but the last two weekends have been incredibly impressive. He took home Defensive MVP honors of the championship game and looked good doing it. SOC 2026 LB Jamarion Phillips also came through big with plays in all areas of the field. North Crowley 2025 RB Cornelius Warren is going to be a hot prospect in January. He was a long time UNLV commit and he was primed to sign with the Runnin' Rebels in December until Coach Odom took the Purdue job. He has always had some serious wheels and he showed them last night to the tune of 217 yards and a TD on 23 carries. He was shot out of a canon on his 75-yard TD run. I have a feeling he is going to see interest really increase in the late period especially after last night. North Crowley 2025 WR Quentin Gibson was electric all season and he finished with a bang. He came into the season as a relative unknown, and he took the state of Texas by storm. Last night he finished with seven receptions for 181 yards and 3 TDs on his way to offensive MVP honors. His acrobatic receptions, all around shiftiness and playmaking ability after the catch were on full display from play one all the way through. Colorado got a good one. Not enough is being made of North Crowley QB Chris Jimerson. Considered a defensive prospect by most going into the season, his height is one reason and he had work to do as a passer. Athleticism though was never in question, and this fall he proved time and time again he can stick at QB on the college level. He bet on himself and chose UNT and the Mean Green are looking really smart. Last night he was 14 of 23 for 299 yards and 4 TDs with seven carries for 63 yards and another score. If Richmond Randle 2027 RB Landen Williams-Callis was not on your radar you better wake the heck up because he is a player. This should not come as news to those who have been paying attention to TexAgs. He has been on Texas A&M's radar and many other colleges since before his freshman year and he has some serious juice. He also has a stout build, a powerful lower half, and if his speed doesn't get you his power can hurt you too. Do not forget the show Carthage 2026 RB KJ Edwards had on Friday. He broke open the game against Waco La Vega with a couple of big TD runs. He finished 18 carries for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Look for Columbus 2025 QB and TCU commit Adam Schobel to rise up the rankings as well as Celina 2026 QB Bowe Bentley. Also go ahead and put Shiner standout ATHs Jarvis Williams (2028) and Quincy Jones (2027) on your radar.

Visitor List: Texas A&M vs Texas
This is the list we've been able to piece together up to this point. There are going to be some more names added between now and Saturday - a few late adds and others who we are going to hold until we get confirmation they're on the way to campus. While there are no 2025 quarterbacks on this list right now, we are extremely confident that there will be within the next 24-36 hours so stay tuned on that front. *** Eli Morcos was added on Thursday after the original post was made. ****** Brady Hart was added on Friday after the original post was made. ***Texas A&M CommitsProsper OL Connor CartyMidlothian OL Nelson McGuire Dickinson OL Tyler Thomas Cocoa (FL) QB Brady Hart Jasper TE Kiotti Armstrong Hitchcock WR Kelshaun Johnson Montgomery (AL) Carver WR Tristan Norman Cy-Fair DL Landon Rink Bellville DT DJ Sanders Danville (CA) San Ramon Valley OLB Marco Jones La Verne (CA) Bonita LB Noah Mikhail Forney LB Kelvion Riggins Shadow Creek CB Cobey Sellers Lancaster (CA) Quartz Hill CB Adonyss Currie Phoenix (AZ) Desert Edge CB Jamar Beal-Goines Katy Paetow NB Deyjhon Pettaway Bushnell (FL) South Sumter S Rashad Johnson A&M Consolidated K Colton Chmelar Bellaire Episcopal LS Gray Evans 2026 Draper (UT) Corner Canyon QB Helaman Casuga 2026 Fairburn (GA) Langston Hughes TE Xavier Tiller 2026 Douglasville (GA) Douglas County WR Aaron Gregory 2026 Douglasville (GA) Douglas County DE Jordan Carter 2026 North Forney CB Ryan Gilbert 2026 Mesquite Horn S Markel Ford 2025 Prospects/TargetsMontgomery Lake Creek QB Eli Morcos - Tulsa commitSpring Dekaney ATH Nicholas Townsend - Texas commit Lewisville OL Michael Fasusi - Oklahoma commitLewisville OL Sean Hutton - Oklahoma PWO commitMesquite Horn OL Lamont Rogers - Missouri commitMemphis (TN) Melrose RB Jamarion Morrow - Missouri commitBellville RB DD Murray Cy-Fair HBack/TE Wyatt Herbel - Houston commitDraper (UT) Corner Canyon WR Jerome Myles - USC commitLufkin DT Zion Williams - LSU commitBaton Rouge (LA) University Lab LB Keylan Moses - LSU commit2026 Prospects/TargetsSpring Valley (CA) Mount Miguel ATH Brandon Arrington Newnan (GA) ATH Rodney Colton Jr - South Carolina commitEuless Trinity OL Pupungatoa Katoa Klein OL Nicolas Robertson Orlando (FL) First Academy OL Chancellor Barclay Orange (CA) Lutheran OL Samuelu Utu Midlothian OL Noah Best Flower Mound OL Drew Evers Prosper OL Zaden Krempin Ft Bend Ridge Point OL Avery Morcho Frisco Lone Star RB Davian Groce - maybeCibolo Steele RB Jonathan Hatton Jr - Oklahoma commitCarthage RB KJ Edwards Fairburn (GA) Langston Hughes RB Carsyn Baker Port Arthur Memorial RB Amante Martin Forney RB Javian Osborne Lakewood (CA) TE Caleb Tafua Argyle TE Braden Bach Frisco Panther Creek WR Jalen Lott Carrollton (GA) WR Ryan Mosley Waco University WR London Smith Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco WR Madden Williams Bossier City (LA) Airline WR Kenny Darby - LSU commitHattiesburg (MS) WR Tristen Keys Naples (FL) First Baptist Academy WR Jayden Petit Douglasville (GA) Douglas County WR Devin Carter Aledo WR Kaydon Finley Destrehan (LA) WR Jabari Mack Temple DE Jamarion Carlton Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy DE Zion Elee Mobile (AL) St. Paul's Episcopal DE Anthony Jones Arlington Martin DE Jesse Ford Smithson Valley DE Hudson Woods Duncanville DE KJ Ford Baton Rouge (LA) University Lab DL Lamar Brown Richardson DL Jaimeon Winfield Dyke (VA) Blue Ridge School DL Valdin Sone Port Arthur Memorial LB Tank King Little Rock (AR) Parkview Magnet LB Jakore Smith Barnesville (GA) Lamar County LB Kaden Carter Katy Mayde Creek LB Kosi Okpala Carrollton (GA) CB Dorian Barney Toledo (OH) Central Catholic CB Victor Singleton Hollywood (FL) Chaminade-Madonna S Derrek Cooper Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy S Jireh Edwards Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman S Jett Washington Orlando (FL) First Academy S Devin Jackson Atlanta (GA) Woodward Academy S Blake Stewart Frisco Panther Creek S Donovan Webb Pascagoula (MS) S Tylan Wilson Frisco Lone Star S Jordan Deck 2027 Targets/ProspectsOlathe (KS) West QB Cameron Kruse Bastrop QB Weston Nielsen Anna OL Peyton Miller Texarkana Texas OL Qua Ford Moss Bluff (LA) Sam Houston OL Albert Simien Shadow Creek RB Tristan Willis Tyler WR Trey Haralson Cy Ranch DL Amari Vickerson Raleigh (NC) Millbrook LB Quinton Cypher Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy CB Raylaun Henry Pittsburgh (PA) Aliquippa CB Larry Moon III Lewisville CB Taelyn Mayo Baton Rouge (LA) University Lab DB Emmanuel Moses 2028 Targets/ProspectsClear Lake ATH Terrell Stinson Carthage ATH JD Edwards Klein Oak RB Micah Rhodes Tulsa (OK) Union DL Terrance Evans 2029 Targets/ProspectsBeaumont West Brook WR Brock Anderson
