The Early Signing Period has come and gone as a number of the nation's top prospects have signed on the dotted line. It is time to take a look at the latest happenings in the SEC footprint on the recruiting front.
Brief update on KJ Ford
Hearing this afternoon that the new Jon Sumrall and his new GM at Florida have been on the phone with Duncanville DE KJ Ford as they continue to attempt to fight off the Texas A&M momentum. Without getting into too much detail, I was told there is some confidence on the UF side that they've at least gotten a foothold back into this deal thanks mostly to some clarifications being given by what is essentially the Florida front office. We'll continue to keep tabs here, but it does appear the Gators are making their rally today. Will it be enough to keep Ford in the fold? I don't know about that just yet. I still like A&M's standing heading into this last stretch of back-and-forths.
