Under Armour All-American game: Recruiting news, notes, what and who to watch and...
It is game day for the Under Armour All-American game and Texas A&M has been buzzing all week. Not only for the Aggies being the most represented team with five commitments and one signee, but also with several standouts talking highly of the Aggies throughout the week. Oh and the guys are also making plenty of noise on the field this week. First for the Aggie sixTeam Roses3 Kamarui Dorsey, Hampton (GA) - 2027 S10 Raylaun Henry, Baltimore (MD) St Frances Academy - 2027 CBTeam Pearls2 Jayce Johnson, Valdosta (GA) Lowndes - 2027 QB7 JayQuan Snell, Waxahachie (TX) - 2027 S10 Samu Moala, Lawndale (CA) Leuzinger - 2026 LB/EDG16 Kaden McCarty, Cypress (TX) Cy Falls - 2027 DE/EDGRecruiting StuffAll the commits have been outspoken about being locked in with the Aggies this week, and all have their eyes on getting back to College Station in the near future. As for the buzz regarding other top prospects. That includes both Texas prospects and big time out of state targets. We talked about it all year and you are seeing it pay off right now, but the Aggies had a stretch of big home game atmospheres that allowed them to showcase Texas A&M, Kyle Field, the 12th Man, and the team culture and style of play. There was Auburn in the afternoon, the Blackout night game vs Mississippi State, The Gators after dark, and the great comeback against the Gamecocks. All provided big game atmospheres and made strong impressions. And, a few big time prospects also happened to see the Aggies on the road for wins over Notre Dame and/or LSU. Not to get sidetracked there, but Mike Elko, Derek Miller, and the entire Aggie staff have done a phenomenal job laying the foundation for a very strong 2027 cycle. So this week in Florida, the Aggies were buzzing. In-state standouts CB John Meredith III, OL Brian Swanson, OL Kennedy Brown, DE Zane Rowe have spoken highly of the Aggies in the past and continued to mention the Aggies as strong contenders. Meredith already has visit plans for Texas A&M and it is a safe bet Rowe, Swanson and Brown make their way to College Station soon.Cedar Hill (TX) DL and Texas Tech commit Jalen Brewster also mentioned the Aggies as a program continuing to draw his attention. With Elijah Robinson back in Aggieland it is a safe bet the Aggies are not done there either. It will take some work to make that happen, but the Aggies remain in the conversation.IMG Academy EDG Zyron Forstall also spoke highly of the Aggies. I had one source tell me "the Aggies are in as strong a position as they possibly can be at this point." Which is to say the Aggies are way up high on his list. There has been strong mutual interest throughout his recruitment and he camped this summer and visited this fall. Originally from New Orleans, look for LSU to also be a big contender there.Olney (MD) Good Counsel DE Anthony Sweeney also spoke highly of the Aggies, and with Elijah Robinson's ties to the Northeast look for the Aggies to be a top contender. There has been a lot of A&M talk and interest from Irmo (SC) DE Jaiden Bryant, and he may remain one to watch. However, considering his plans to announce his choice today at the game, this one is currently trending away. The Aggies made his top six along with Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Miami, and South Carolina, but there has been a lot of Baton Rouge momentum especially with the Tigers' recent addition of DL coach Sterling Lucas who was formerly at South Carolina. At linebacker both Kaden Henderson and Noah Glover spoke highly of the Aggies this week. Henderson, of Tampa (FL) Jesuit, has made a few trips to Aggieland over the course of his recruitment including a visit this fall, and there are talks of a return trip in the near future. The competition is strong but the Aggies are in the mix. As for Glover, the Haymarket (VA) Battlefield standout, has yet to visit but has been a key target. He mentioned the Aggies at the top of his list this week and there is no doubt he is a top target to watch. If he visits, things could get very interesting, until then let's use some cautious optimism. In the secondary, cornerback Joshua Dobson is one we haven't talked about much, but he has visited multiple times and he saw the Aggies in action this fall. He is no doubt a special talent, but with the Aggies already holding commitments from Raylaun Henry and Hakim Frampton, room is filling up quickly and I don't see him and John Meredith landing in the same spot. Right now I like the Aggies odds better with Meredith. On offense, there has been quite a bit of buzz regarding the Aggies, not only this week in Orlando, but I'll also work in a few notes from other top prospects. In Orlando, beyond the in-state guys Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas OL Mark Matthews and Jersey City (NJ) St. Peter's OL Oluwasemilore Olubobola have both spoke highly of the Aggies.Miami is going to be tough to beat with Matthews but the Aggies made a strong impression both when he visited Notre Dame with the Aggies in town and when he made the trip to College Station to see Texas A&M against Auburn. Olubobola has taken multiple trips to College Station and he is making plans to return. The Aggies are in a strong position, but as a national prospect he has plenty of other visit plans and is taking a look at several top options. Still, even with a strong in-state o-line class, he is a guy to keep on your radars.Of course, Albert Simien is another long time target and frequent visitor who continues to speak highly of the Aggies. This week we reported Gilmer (TX) OL Ismael Camara has scheduled a January visit to Texas A&M. He will be back in College Station on January 23-24 and it the first visit he has scheduled for 2026. He may not be in Orlando, but you better believe this guy is one of the top OL you will find anywhere in the country. The Aggies also made the cut for Chandler (AZ) Basha OL Jake Hildebrand who named his top 10 on New Years Day. The Aggies are joined by Alabama, Arizona State, Indiana, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, USC, and Utah. He was in College Station when the Aggies hosted Mississippi State, and he will be back in Texas next week for the Navy All-American Bowl in San Antonio. At wide receiver, Eric McFarland is one to put on your radars. He is a 2028 who reclassified up to 2027 and he brings a real Mario Craver-like dynamic to the table. There s a good bit of mutual interest there as well. A few notes and predictions1.Expect to see a lot of Raylaun Henry and John Meredith in the same secondary today. Both have been turning heads in Orlando2. From a source in Orlando, Kamarui Dorsey is a "freak show". Raw, naturally gifted and his intelligence and ball skills have drawn plenty of attention this week.3. I predict JayQuan Snell make at least one bone rattling tackle that makes its way around the internets.4. Considering Moala and McCarty are both out there, I'll be surprised if the future Aggies do not record a sack on the day. It could be a fun afternoon.5. Jalen Brewster has been a force all week and the talk of the week. I have a feeling we will see him disrupt things today as well.6. These games are often tough on QBs from rotating series to chemistry with new receivers and all of that. However, I do look for Jayce Johnson to impress. Between his overall arm talent and his ability to make plays and extend plays with his legs I bet the A&M commitment continues to impress today.Quick roster rundown of guys to watchTeam Roses2 Julian Caldwell, Argyle (TX) - 2027 WR3 Kamarui Dorsey, Hampton (GA) - 2027 S - Texas A&M commit5 Zyron Forstall, New Orleans (LA)/IMG Academy - 2027 DL/EDG8 Kaden Henderson, Tampa (FL) Jesuit - 2027 LB9 John Meredith, Euless (TX) Trinity - 2027 CB10 Raylaun Henry, Baltimore (MD) St Frances Academy - 2027 CB - Texas A&M commit14 Monshun Sales, Indianapolis (IN) Lawrenceville - 2027 WR15 DJ Jacobs Jr., Roswell (GA) Blessed Trinity Catholic - 2027 DE/EDG - Ohio State commit17 Noah Glover, Haymarket (VA) Battlefield - 2027 LB72 Brian Swanson, Dallas (TX) South Oak Cliff - 2027 OL74 Oluwasemilor Olubobola, Jersey City (NJ) St. Peter's - 2027 OL85 George Lamons Jr, Quitman (GA) Brooks County - 2027 WR/TE88 Zane Rowe, Denton (TX) Guyer - 2027 DE/EDGTeam Pearls0 Jalen Brewster, Cedar Hill (TX) - 2027 DL - Texas Tech commit1 Anthony Sweeney, Olney (MD) Good Counsel - 2027 DE/EDG2 Jayce Johnson, Valdosta (GA) Lowndes - 2027 QB - Texas A&M commit6 Trenton Yancey, Duncanville (TX) - 2027 WR7 S JayQuan Snell, Waxahachie (TX) - 2027 S - Texas A&M commit10 Samu Moala, Lawndale (CA) Leuzinger - 2026 LB/EDG - Texas A&M signee10 Tyson Robinson, Brandon (MS) - 2027 RB13 Eric McFarland, Las Vegas (NV)/IMG Academy - 2027 WR16 Kaden McCarty, Cypress (TX) Cy Falls - 2027 DE/EDG - Texas A&M commit24 Jaiden Bryant, Columbia (SC) Irmo - 2027 DE/EDG55 Mark Matthews, Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas - 2027 OL71 Jordan Agbanoma, Loganville (GA) Grayson - 2027 OL75 Kennedy Brown, Humble (TX) Kingwood - 2027 OL79 Albert Simien, Moss Bluff (LA) Sam Houston - 2027 OLHere's a link to watch the game on the ESPN YouTube Channel, the game is at 3 pm CThttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MgwBUaPZxw

A few Monday recruiting notes
It is All-American season and the Under Armour game is up first on January 3, and today the rosters for each team were released. The teams are Team Roses and Team Pearls and with six committed/signed prospects in attendance Texas A&M will be represented on both squads. Your official 2026 UA Next All-America Game Roster🌹 pic.twitter.com/4sQ2wODo5E— All-America Game (@UANextFootball) December 29, 2025
Team Roses3 Kamarui Dorsey, Hampton (GA) - 2027 S10 Raylaun Henry, Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy - 2027 CBTeam Pearls2 Jayce Johnson, Valdosta (GA) Lowndes - 2027 QB7 JayQuan Snell, Waxahachie (TX) - 2027 S10 Samu Moala, Lawndale (CA) Leuzinger - 2026 EDG16 Kaden McCarty, Cypress (TX) Cy Falls - 2027 EDGPlayers arrive in Florida tomorrow and there are a few other targets to watch. Joining Dorsey and Henry on Team Roses is 2027 target John Meredith IIIn high on the Aggies throughout his process. Texas A&M has also been involved with standouts Zane Rowe and Brian Swanson who are on team Roses. Team Pearls also features a few standout targets with the likes of Kennedy Brown, Anthony Sweeney, Jaiden Bryant, Tyson Robinson, Trenton Yancey, and Jalen Brewster (Texas Tech).Move-in day is approaching quickly with the majority of the 2026 class moving in on January 7. However, at least a couple will be making their way to town a little earlier. WRs Aaron Gregory and Madden Williams plan to move in this coming weekend before heading to San Antonio for the Navy All-American Bowl. They will also be joined by signees Brandon Arrington, Tristian Givens, and Jayden Warren in San Antonio. We have not confirmed when Arrington, Givens, and plan to move-in, but it is something to watch. 2027 commit Hakim Frampton will also play in the game. He is listed as a CB on the TexAgs commit list but has been a standout on both sides and he is currently listed as a WR on the Navy Bowl roster.2027 OL commit DeMarrion Johnson was also selected to play in the Navy Bowl, but he is not currently listed on the Navy Bowl roster. His status for the game is up in the air at the moment, but in other news he tells TexAgs he does plan to be back in College Station on January 17.
