Standouts make spring visit plans for College Station
The Aggies are doing some real work in Mississippi in the 2026 recruiting cycle, and TexAgs has confirmed a few top Mississippi standouts with spring visit plans. Brandon (MS) CB Preston Ashley and Picayune (MS) DE Nolan Wilson and OL Mitchell Smith will be in Aggieland on April 18. All three have visited in the past, including a trip to College Station last fall for the Aggies' match-up with Missouri. They all three hold offers from Texas A&M and schools across the country. Ashley also plans visit College Station in March with his 7-on-7 team California Power. Lake Cormorant (MS) Raderrion Daniels tweeted his plans to visit College Station this spring. He does not have a date set, but that could change very soon. He was offered by defensive backs coach Jordan Peterson in January.I’ll be at @AggieFootball this Spring #Gigem 👍 @CoachJPeterson @CoachMikeElko @Aggies @tamurecruits @nester_nick 🔒🏝️ pic.twitter.com/IaSNUJBwGV— Raderrion”DD”Daniels 4⭐️ (@RaderrionD1) February 25, 2025 Tupelo (MS) DE JaReylan McCoy also has visit plans for the spring as well as a summer official. Quick look at DL recruiting with Kinsler's commitment
The Texas A&M defensive line class is coming into focus with the Aggies adding another key piece to the puzzle on the defensive front. Jermaine Kinsler brings a unique blend of athleticism and potential to the table and gives the Aggies another big win on the recruiting front. Kinsler checks in at 6-foot-6.5, 265 pounds according to Bergen Catholic head coach Vito Campanile and he has played a number of positions on both offense and defense for one of the top high school programs in the country. He is also a sight to see on the basketball court. So, he brings position versatility to the table with the capability of playing up and down the line of scrimmage, and his commitment gives the Aggies a defensive line class of four if you include LB/edge Samu Moala. The Aggies also have big standout defensive tackle Trashawn Ruffin out of North Duplin High in Calypso, N.C., and 6-foot-4, 245-pound Jordan Carter from Douglas County in Douglasville, Ga., who brings a twitchy and powerful presence at defensive end.The Aggies are in on several standout prospects and the question turns to who and how many and which can be a tricky task and a moving target.Let's look at the breakdown of prospects with offers who have recently visited, have visits coming up, or have scheduled or are working to schedule official visits. Texas A&M commitsDT Trashawn Ruffin, Calypso (NC) North DuplinDL Jermaine Kinsler, Oradell (NJ) Bergen CatholicDE Jordan Carter, Douglasville (GA) Douglas CountyLB/Edge Samu Moala, Lawndale (CA) LeuzingerDT TargetsDylan Berymon, Monroe (LA) Ouachita Parish - Texas A&M is in his top schools, OVing June 20Lamar Brown, Baton Rouge (LA) University - Visited several times, Texas A&M among his top schools OVing June 13Jaimeon Winfield, Richardson (TX) - Took his first A&M visit in January, looking to returnDE TargetsJamarion Carlton, Temple (TX) - Visited this fall, and attended Jr Day in JanuaryZion Elee, Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy - Maryland commit, five-star, visited in the fall, still listening planning OV this summerKJ Ford, Duncanville (TX) - a top in-state target, visited several times over the last two years, making spring visit plansJaReylan McCoy, Tupelo (MS) - former LSU commit, making plans for a summer OV and a spring visitBryce Perry-Wright, Buford (GA) - longtime target, already has an OV scheduled for June 20Nolan Wilson, Picayune (MS) - visited this fall, looking to return this springOLB/Edge TargetsTank Jones, Mobile (AL) St. Paul's Episcopal - long time target who has taken multiple visits, continues to watch A&M closely. Some of these guys can flow between categories, but that is a pretty standard look. Also, you can always you can count on a few prospects emerging over the course of the recruiting cycle. Right now, with who the Aggies are in on and with DL always being a priority position, I would say one to two more defensive tackle types, a couple of more true defensive ends who can both come off the edge and put their hand in dirt, and another edge/OLB. So, that's 3-4 DTs, 3 DEs, and 1-2 OLB/Edge guys. Of course, you also reserve a best available spot because the Aggies are in on some of the nation's very best.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
