College football season is in full swing across the state and the nation, but recruiting never stops as plenty of moves are being made as things continue to heat up across Texas. It is time to take a look at the latest happenings on the recruiting front from across the Lone Star state.

I put reminders in the title because this is essentially what these are as we've talked about a lot of this stuff already. Anyway, I just wanted to kind of re-set the table ahead of Thanksgiving...get it?- Jasper LB Tyanthony Smith has an official visit this coming weekend at Texas. I've also heard the Longhorns are pushing for Drelon Miller to make his way to Austin between now and the early signing period. Both kids have playoff games on Friday afternoon. - Katy OL Coen Echols is headed to Auburn for the Iron Bowl. At this time, I still feel good about him hanging around to see who A&M hires before making a final decision on his commitment. - Speaking of Auburn, keep an eye on the Tigers with Cameron Coleman. A source I spoke with last night thought another trip to the Plains wasn't out of the question for him this weekend. His playoff game is on Friday night at 7. We've spoken plenty about Coleman's family ties to Texas, but he's also very close with Dameyune Craig who is from that same area of Alabama. - Tupelo (MS) LB Tristan Jernigan has been open about the unsteady status of his commitment to Texas A&M. It's certainly worth keeping an eye on him making a trip this weekend. Ole Miss and Mississippi State play right down the road, but the future in Starkville remains in question with the firing of Zach Arnett. Still, the Bulldogs and Rebels haven't wavered in their pursuit. It should be noted that as of last check, Jernigan did not have anything set up. - Jason spoke with some folks close to AJ Maddox this morning. He has talked about being open to take some visits while A&M is in flux, but he hasn't set anything up at the moment. It sounds he's a lot like most of the commitments currently in that he's wanting to wait and see what happens in College Station. - Longview Pine Tree DL Dealyn Evans continues to communicate with Florida. This has been going on since about late September/early October. I've got texts out about a potential visit to Gainesville between now and signing day in a few weeks. - Based on what I've been able to gather, I think there's an increasing chance that Utah holds on to longtime commitment and recent A&M offer Hunter Andrews. I think the Aggies being late to the party is playing a role here although I've heard he and the family weren't upset with the timing of the offer at all. I've been told the kid really admires the Ute staff and the bonds they've formed over the course of the recruiting cycle were going to be tough for anyone to overcome. He's also got a family connection in Salt Lake City. As it stands today, I believe he'll stick with his verbal pledge. A few weeks ago, I didn't necessarily think that would be the case.

The College Station Cougars won their 34th postseason game in 10 years on Friday night with a runaway victory over the Magnolia Bulldogs, 45-21. TexAgs was on hand for the area-round contest, and now, we present the highlights of the action.
