A&M's efforts in Dallas-Fort Worth span several recruiting classes
Keeping top Texas talent in Texas is always a top priority, and a big part of that is digging into the football hotbed that is the DFW area. In the 2025 cycle, the Aggies reached into DFW for five signees. But Mike Elko & Co. aren't done as they keep their eyes on several top prospects.

Coaches back on the road to end the week
With the contact period winding down, the Texas A&M coaching staff will be finishing the week with a flurry of stops. I've heard one of those check-ins today will be out in East Texas where the Maroon and White will roll through Carthage to see a pair of top targets in RB KJ Edwards and LB DaQuives Beck. Edwards has been pinned near the top of Trooper Taylor's big board right next to Cibolo Steele's Jonathan Hatton Jr for quite some time now. Beck is also making a move in that direction on the other side of the ball for Texas A&M as his play down the stretch for yet another Bulldog state championship last fall has seen his stock surge in the eyes of Mike Elko and company.

Trooper Taylor was in Carthage checking in with RB KJ Edwards and his younger brother JD Edwards who both hold Texas A&M offers. I'm told it was a really good visit I also hear the staff has plans to check in with some heavy hitters in Dallas-Fort Worth today. I hear Duncanville, South Oak Cliff, DeSoto, Denton Guyer, and Mesquite Horn are all in the works. That's some serious talent there. Here's a look at just the prospects already holding A&M offers at those schools 2026S Markel Ford, Mesquite Horn - Texas A&M commitDE KJ Ford, DuncanvilleDE Kordae Houston, South Oak CliffLB Jamarion Phillips, South Oak Cliff 2027RB Myson Johnson-Cook, DeSotoWR Ethan Feaster, DeSotoOL Brian Swanson, South Oak CliffDL JD Jones, South Oak CliffDL Khyren Haywood, Denton GuyerATH Zane Rowe, Denton GuyerThe Aggies were pretty active last week in DFW with some new offers. They also offered Navy National Combine standout and Cedar Hill 2027 DL Jalen Brewster.
