Texas A&M Big Man Camp Notes
-Denton Guyer 2027 DL Khyren Haywood entered the day as the headliner and he didn't disappoint. In fact he left with an offer. He checked in right around 6-1, 260 but his combination of power and quickness is what really draws the eye. He has some nice length, and he packs a powerful punch to go with an arsenal of pass rush moves. Very advanced and he knows how to mix power and finesse to get where he needs to go. He already has several offers and he is quickly establishing himself as one of the top young DLs in the state. -The wow moment of the day was when Converse Judson 2028 OL JaiStorm Knight walked into the room. Already 6-6, 330 and wearing a size 18 shoe, he is surprisingly nimble. He is just a pup and growing into his body, but as he went through drills it was clear he has a chance to be a special talent. He has not yet setup a Twitter or X or whatever you want to call.Converse (TX) Judson 2028 OT Jai’storm Knight@JudsonFootball pic.twitter.com/Wf3SJznIv4— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) June 11, 2024
-Lake Dallas 2027 DL KAdrian Redmond also turned quite a few heads. His 6-4, 290-pound frame draws the eye and he has started to draw attention of college coaches. He is on the raw side right now, but he packs a powerful punch and he uses it well. Offers have arrived from UTEP, UTSA, and SMU, and it will no surprise if more arrive soon.Lake Dallas 2027 DL K’Adrian Redmond@RedmondKD | @recruitLD pic.twitter.com/Anjxak84yC— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) June 11, 2024
-Copperas Cove 2026 OL Marques Uini also showed very well throughout the day. The younger brother of 2024 standout and Georgia signee Michael Uini, Marquess went to work and had a couple of the more impressive OL wins in one-on-ones. He showed some powerful hands and was light on his feet throughout the day and he made a strong impressionCopperas Cove (TX) 2026 OL Marques Uini@marques_uini | @Kickslide pic.twitter.com/FO2abeHgOg— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) June 11, 2024
-Southlake Carroll 2027 OL Tristan Dare is another who grabbed attention. He is making the move to OT and Southlake Carroll after earning all-district honors at DE and TE at Grapevine Faith. His footwork and athleticism helped him make quick work of competition and his frame should fill out nicely as he continues to grow and add strength. -Hunstville 2026 DE Jerious Singletary is a guy I did not see much of on the day, but he made a serious impression the few times I did. He is lean but he has a long reach and he brought some serious twitch off the edge. 2026 Huntsville DE Jerious Singletary@certified_Jrock | @_HuntsvilleFB_ pic.twitter.com/xzNVutxHvg— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) June 11, 2024
-Willis 2025 OL/DL Frankie Long also showed some nice athleticism working at DL throughout the day. He plays both sides of the ball and showed a nasty edge in the trenchesWillis (TX) 2025 OL/DL Frankie Long@Frankie99Long | @WillisWildkats1 pic.twitter.com/ubodvEpzdF— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) June 11, 2024
