TexAgs HS Recruiting Stop: Allen
I dropped through Allen yesterday afternoon, and head coach Lee Wiginton has the Eagles flying high once again. As alum Jordyn Tyson is primed to go first round tonight, the Eagles already have some top standouts making waves, several of which played key roles in Allen's big playoff push last fall. Of note for the Aggies are QB Ty Snell and WR Zach Williams in the 2029 class, and what a 2029 class the Eagles have. Snell and Williams both already hold Texas A&M offers. Snell received his on Super Bowl Sunday and Williams at the end of February.Allen (TX) 2029 QB Ty Snell received his Texas A&M offer on Super Bowl Sunday and is firmly planted on the radar of top college coaches. @TySnellQB1 | @alleneaglesfb | @RecruitAllen | @TA_Recruiting pic.twitter.com/Afm94wna8u— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) April 23, 2026
2029 signal caller Ty Snell's recruiting process is heating up | TexAgs Snell is primed to step into the starting role at QB. A big dual-threat QB with a live arm, he holds double digit offers with the likes of Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Oregon, Ohio State, SMU, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt in addition to the Aggies. Snell has some ties to Nashville and some crossover connections with Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed. As an eighth grader he was at Lipscomb Academy competing in the same league Reed did as a prep, and they share some of the same trainers. He has a similar skillset as Marcel so the knowledge base and shared background is a plus for the Aggies. Snell visited Ohio State, Oregon, SMU, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt this spring, and he is primed to be one of the state's top prospects. Williams recorded over 1400 yards as a freshman at Bishop Lynch and like his QB, he already holds double digit offers. A&M among the offers 2029 WR Zach Williams has received | TexAgs He visited in the spring and coach Wiggins coach Wiggins and coach Perry have already made strong impressions. Sticking in the 2029 class, LB Raiden Johnson and TE Jaden Davis. We have mentioned both over the last few months, and both are starting to see the offers mount. You can bet this will be an active spring as college coaches make their way through Allen. Davis checks in at a solid 6-4, 225 and he passes the eye test in flying colors. Yesterday Allen moved him around the offense and his versatility and physicality are going to quickly draw attention. Allen (TX) 2029 TE Jaden Davis checks in at a solid 6-4, 225 and turned heads on varsity as a freshman. Johnson already has the size coaches love and he too has the athleticism to move around and be a problem for opponents whether he is in the middle or coming off the edge. 2028 CB Dominic Butler is another physically impressive prospect and is coming off a strong sophomore effort. He visited Texas A&M in the fall so he is in the radar. He already has a hand full of offers and is a guy with the upside to watch.Another 2028 DB at Allen will go a bit more under the radar. 6-3, 200-pound Elijah Smith moved in from California and his size and ability are eye catching. Right now he does not have any offers, but I look for his stock to rise considerably as coaches get a chance to see him go to work in person.Allen (TX) 2028 DB Elijah Smith is one to know. 6-3, 200 with length and versatility on the backend. He is quick to draw attention and will no doubt draw a few eyeballs this spring as coaches hit the road@ElijahSmith_28 | @alleneaglesfb | @RecruitAllen pic.twitter.com/3zU2wi8cml— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) April 23, 2026
I didn't get a picture yesterday, but Josyah Johnson is another versatile weapon to watch in 2028. He was a member of the TexAgs 2028 Watch List, and has been a varsity player since his freshman year. He already holds offers from Auburn, Vanderbilt, and Houston to name a few.I did not see him yesterday, but 2030 EDG Carter Underwood is another top underclassman making waves. I saw him earlier this spring at a Trench Warfare camp and checking in at 6-1, 215, he can bend the corner and already brings some twitch on the edge. Now the Underclassemen are not the only ones in the program. 2027 S James Roberson headlines the senior group. 6-1, 200 pounds, a 3-sport athlete, he just recently clocked a 10.56 100m. He's drawing attention as a big S and LB with Oklahoma, Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma State, TCU, Auburn, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt among those to extend offers.Another 2027 who caught my attention is DL Jacobie Wilkerson. He is a big framed 6-4, 245 with the kind of look and growth potential that's not hard to envision moving inside as he continues to add strength and mass. He has received a few offers here and there from the likes of UNT, Texas State, Arkansas State, North Dakota State, and the Ivy Leagues.

Highlights: Allen beats North Crowley in heavyweight battle in Denton
North Texas's DATCU Stadium saw a heavyweight bout between Allen and North Crowley. Allen converted an early fourth-and-long and separated for a 21-7 halftime lead, but North Crowley did not go quietly. In the end, Allen’s lead was too much to overcome as the Eagles pulled away for the 33-21 win.
