Miscellaneous recruiting quick hitters
-Spoke with 2020 A&M commit Jordan Jefferson this morning. He's got plans to visit A&M on March 1st. There was some talk about him transferring to A&M Consolidated to play for Lee Fedora, but he told me he's staying in Navasota after thinking about it.-Franklin OL Casey Phillips has seen his stock rise early this spring. He has plans to visit Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Rice (his brother plays there) in the coming months. He says he'd love to get back to A&M soon, but he hasn't communicated with the Aggie staff as frequently. I'm sure he'll be a target to be seen during the spring eval period though. -Recent 2019 DE offer Marcus Stripling tells me he'll visit A&M sometime this spring. The date hasn't been set yet. -Spoke to 2019 WR Arjei Henderson last night about his Aggie offer. He was excited that A&M pulled the trigger. I'd been told by a couple of sources that Georgia is the early leader. Arjei says he'd like to commit before the beginning of his junior campaign in August. -Hearing Penn St is making some in roads with a couple Texas DB's, most notably Trent Gordon and Verone McKinley III. I still think McKinley will ultimately be an Aggie, but I could see Gordon leaving the state. -I've also heard Texas has made up some ground with Ft Bend Marshall OL Barton Clement. He will be at their upcoming Junior Day. -While many feel good about where A&M stands for 2019 QB Grant Gunnell, I still think the Aggies will do their due diligence with PNG's Roschon Johnson although Texas looks like the odds on favorite there. -Some local names that are good bets to get spring evals are:Bryan OL Ylijaah Hall A&M Consolidated DB Kolby Peel College Station ATH Quandree White 2019 College Station ATH Brandon Joseph 2019 A&M Consolidated OL Reid Francis 2019 A&M Consolidated DL Josh Ellison 2020 A&M Consolidated WR Brian Darby 2020 A&M Consolidated WR Nate Floyd
