Coaches round out the week on the road
Coach Fisher and his staff have made their presence felt in the DFW-area and today the Aggies have another couple of stops. West Mesquite and Plano Prestonwood are two places I'm hearing about today.West Mesquite is home to 2018 ATH Dayven Coleman, who could play in the secondary or at LB, and recent 2019 WR offer Dylan Wright. West Mesquite also has a 2020 APB Ty Jordon who is one to watchPrestonwood has Oklahoma 2019 TE commit Austin Stogner as well as 2019 DB Virdel Edwards. Another prospect who has been coming on is 2019 LB Solomon Turner. At 6-2, 210 he looks like a LB but played S in the fall and has been working at DB at camps.
Hearing things are picking up with...
I mentioned West Mesquite ATH Dayven Coleman in the LB post the other day, and I am hearing Texas A&M expressed an interest this morning. It's still early and an offer has not been extended yet, but there has been discussion of a potential official visit. We will keep you posted as things develop.
Let's talks about LBs
You guys have been asking about linebacker targets, and one thing coach Fisher and his staff has shown is they will go after the nation's best. So, here are a few guys to keep an eye on as targets start to emerge. All of these guys are among the best in the country, and they are also still looking at their college optionsLB Solomon Tuliaupupu, Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei - Notre Dame has been in the mix for a long time so Elko being on staff could give the Aggies a chance. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/9379159/5a2cf9f52351bd1774f3c708LB Quay Walker, Cordele (AL) Crisp County - Committed to Alabama but he is taking visits and he has his eyes on the SEC. Florida, Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee are currently scheduled to receive officials, so weekends are getting scarce.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/5463791/59e64cb80c5e0a11300911efLB Xavier Peters, West Chester (OH) Lakota West Committed to Kentucky, but he is looking at options. Florida and Florida State both have visits scheduled and Miami is coming on strong. He is from the Midwest and his stock is on the rise after a big week at the Under Armour game. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7857470/5a01406fff0cde2198f5d27aLB Merlin Robertson, Gardena (CA) Junipero Serra - This is a guy Oklahoma was watching closely before DaShaun White's commitment. This is a bit of a wild card, but this guy just keeps popping up in my mind as a guy to watch.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/3901874/5a270d733864f437e0e80deeAnd here's a in-state guy I'm hoping gets a look. LB Dayven Coleman, Mesquite West Mesquite - He was committed to UCLA, and before the dead period Arizona was making a push. Illinois has been the most consistent. This guy has played everywhere from CB to DE over the last three years, he is a big hitter, has good size, and he is comfortable in coverage.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7591626/59ac70faa676640a98e7b5ea
