a few DFW recruiting notes
Richland LB and Texas A&M DaShaun White has been checking out his options. He has taken unofficial visits to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State the last two weeks. This week he plans to be in Aggieland as Texas A&M hosts South Carolina and he may take his official visit next weekend with Alabama coming to town.Nolan Catholic 2019 LB/DE Nana Osafo-Mensah has been looking for a good weekend to check out the Aggies. He has not made it to campus this fall and he did not attend last week's game with Arkansas. He does not think he will make it to College Station this weekend, but he says he will be at the Texas A&M/Alabama game in two weeks.Wichita Falls Hirschi 2019 DT Lloyd Murray was at AT&T for Texas A&M's overtime win over Arkansas. The things that caught his attention about the Aggies were how they stayed together and never stopped fighting. He says he currently does not have any visit plans for this weekend. Texas A&M is a program his lists as a favorite along with Florida, Florida State, Auburn, and Penn State.Keller Timber Creek 2018 WR Erik Ezukanma has talked about naming some favorites, but has yet to release his schools. He does have interest in the Aggies but the Aggies do not have a spot right now. My current prediction would be Texas Tech. The Red Raiders have a commitment from Gabe Douglas, but he is not expected to qualify. Ezukanma brings a similar skillset to the table, and he recently took an unofficial visit.Mesquite Horn 2018 ATH Maureese Wren just re-opened his recruiting process last week. When he committed to Arkansas in August, he chose the Razorbacks over Colorado, Texas Tech, SMU, and Baylor. Wren is a standout on both sides of the ball, but wants a chance to play wide receiver. He is being recruited as an athlete by a majority of teams on his list, but most seem to be leaning towards the defensive side. Texas Tech is one school that has taken a serious look at him on the offensive side, and they may be one to watch. They do not have a lot of spots though when it comes to receivers. It looks like Dallas Bishop Dunne 2019 ATH Marquez Beason plans to narrow his list a little further in the near future, and it looks like the Aggies will miss the cut like they did for teammate Brian Williams. Beason and Williams have talked openly about playing together on the college level. Texas has been my pick for both early on.Aledo 2019 DE/LB Colt Ellison visited Texas A&M for the Louisiana game a couple of weeks ago. He was able to talk with coach Price and coach McKinney before the game, and the atmosphere and tradition were two things which stood out to him. He said he enjoyed the visit and looks forward to coming back. He plans to visit SMU this weekend.
