Interesting stop today from Fisher and Banks
I've been told that the Aggies new head man and interim head coach Jeff Banks will be sitting down with Fast Houston's head trainer and coach Ro Simon today at 4.Pretty savvy move as Fast is becoming the home for a lot of the top players in the state. The Fast roster includes guys like:CySprings S Leon O'Neal Bellaire Episcopal WR Jaylen Waddle Clear Brook WR Caleb Chapman Yoakum DB Jordan Moore Yoakum WR Joshua Moore CyFalls CB Starrland Baldwin Houston Heights CB Jalen Green 2019Cuero ATH Jordan Whittington Allen WR Theo Wease Ft Bend Travis WR Arjei Henderson Alvin CB Marques Caldwell
Pylon 7v7 National Championship Recruiting Notes - lots of stuff from top targets
Pylon 7v7 National Championship recruiting notes- Jordan Moore said he is solid in his commitment to Texas A&M and he has enjoyed the month of June. He was all smiles when he talked about Max Wright and Leon O'Neal making their decisions. Leon was also all smiles as usual, and he felt it was important to momentum. Jaylen Waddle, Jalen Preston, and Starrland Baldwin were mentioned as guys they're talking to quite a bit.- Bossier City (La.) Parkway WR Terrace Marshall did not do any interviews today, but throughout the day there seemed to be a lot of Texas A&M buzz surrounding the Louisiana five-star receiver. I had conversations with more than one person who told me they felt like he would be an Aggie. He did visit TCU today and TCU, LSU, and A&M are the three to watch. Now, I've been pretty clear that I thought TCU was the pick especially with Justin Rogers over there, but there is no doubt Texas A&M has some momentum. The BBQ was a great experience for him and helped give the Aggies a push up his list. Was it enough to put them at the top? I did not get a consensus on that, but things are trending upward. - I caught up with Houston Episcopal 2018 WR Jaylen Waddle today. He said the BBQ was real cool and he mentioned getting to meet Christian Kirk and hangout with Jhamon Ausbon and Hezekiah Jones as highlights. He said his top 12 is pretty much locked in and he'll probably release a top 6 soon and commit from there. He did not give a timetable on a decision. He just said when it feels right he'll commit because "there's no decommitting when I commit."- One WR who wasn't out there was Keller Timber Creek's Erik Ezukanma, but the school that kept coming up was Arkansas. TCU and Texas A&M have long been thought to be high on his list, but it looks like TCU is filling up and the Aggies are in very good shape with others. He has been kind of quiet, but Arkansas was the school that seemed to keep popping up today.- Richland 2018 LB DaShaun White did not play today but he was out watching some of the talent. Texas A&M is a school high on his list and he also said Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and UCLA were the schools he was looking at right now. He is shooting for a July announcement and wants to visit Oklahoma and UCLA before he does that. At the BBQ he wanted to get a feel for the players and he was able to do just that. He said the brisket was the best thing on his plate and named Leon O'Neal the most vocal recruiter of the current commits.- FB Travis 2019 WR Arjei Henderson did not get to make it to College Station for the BBQ but he does plan to return to College Station before the end of summer. He also has plans to visit Oregon and Oklahoma this summer. Grant Gunnell has been in touch on a daily basis. Henderson said he had an idea about who stands out but he stopped short of releasing that list. He did say the Aggies were high on his list. - Stafford 2019 WR Jalen Curry looking to visit Ohio State, Alabama, Arkansas, and Auburn. He will be in College Station next week for the State 7v7 Championships. Curry said Grant Gunnell was like a brother and that the Aggies are high on his list.- Cuero 2019 ATH Jordan Whittington is planning to get back to College Station this summer. He says he gets chills when he gets to A&M, which only happens at a couple of other places, and another important thing is he said his mom wants him to go there. He wants to narrow it to four before the season and commit next summer.- Ennis 2019 WR Dylan Wright had a big day at Texas A&M's camp and has exploded on the recruiting front this summer. His most recent offer was from Minnesota and the Aggies let him know they want to see his tape from early next fall.

Tuesday recruiting quick hitters
--We talked about the offers out to 2018 RB Deneric Prince and 2020 North Shore back Zach Evans, but the Aggies have also moved on a name we've been mentioning for awhile this morning as they offered San Antonio Brennan's Jahmyl Jeter.https://twitter.com/Teamjeter28/status/872114121369694208Jeter is currently committed to SMU. With A&M offering both Prince and Jeter on the same day, it may be a first come, first serve type of deal. --Speaking of Prince, a source very close to the Manvel program told me this morning that the Aggies have an outstanding shot at landing him. There is also talk down there that the coaching staff thinks as highly of him as a prospect as recent Manvel RB D'Vaughn Pennamon who is now at Ole Miss. Prince ran sub 4.5 at A&M camp this past weekend. --The talks between Houston Heights CB Jalen Green and the A&M staff, particularly Ron Cooper, were positive according to a Houston area source. Green is looking for stability, and I was told point blank that A&M will be very much in the mix if Kevin Sumlin is the head coach. Green is fond of Sumlin but won't consider the Aggies if there's a different head man. I was told Jalen wants to see how the season plays out before he makes any big decision.--CyFalls CB Starrland Baldwin left A&M this weekend without an offer. The Oklahoma commit was invited to the BBQ by the Aggie staff, but it sounds like he won't attend if an offer isn't extended before then. I still believe A&M would be the landing spot if they move soon. --Still hearing positive news for the Ags on the Joseph Ossai and Joshua Moore fronts. Those are two of the main targets that have been getting worked hard by the current commits, particularly O'Neal and Wright. --Keep an eye on OLB Brian Johnson. I got info floated to me that he could be on decision watch.
