More info on tomorrow (Tuesday PM)
As we've said, Coach Fisher is expected at St Pius tomorrow morning to see the following guys: Grant Gunnell, Chase Lane, Jalen Curry, McKade Mettauer, and Tyler Vrabel. After checking in on the Panthers (who will battle Austin Stogner and Plano Prestonwood for a state title this Saturday at Waco Midway Stadium), we are hearing Fisher will link up with Clarence McKinney and swing through Clarence's area of south Houston. Therefore, I'd expect conversations/meetings with guys at Manvel, Caleb Chapman, and Ft Bend ISD as discussed in the other thread. This would match what Chap told me in my conversation with him last night.I know this is a lot of stuff, but we keep getting intel as the phone lines continue to be worked. I should also have post in home updates on Max Wright and Colten Blanton later on.

A few OL recruiting quick hitters
Quick Wednesday Update: Jerome Carvin told me he plans to be in College Station on Saturday, so I took that maybe off his name on the visitor list. *****************-If you watched our cut ups of commit Colten Blanton, you know he had a big night last week that included 17 knockdowns. He finished strong with 4 pancakes on his last 5 plays as well. Originally, the A&M coaches told him they'd made plans to be at his game last Friday, but the trips out west by some of the staff altered things a touch. I've been told that Kevin Sumlin is expected at CyRanch (possibly via helicopter) to see Blanton this week. There's a good chance on Jim Turner being there as well. -We just added Cordova (TN) OL Jerome Carvin to the visitor list as a maybe. Here's what I know about the Memphis area blocker: he's being courted heavily by a number of schools in the region, including Mississippi St. Carvin visited the Bulldogs a couple weeks ago when the Aggies were in Florida. A&M has not offered yet, and I get the inclination that an offer would come if he were to actually visit campus. I also received word this afternoon that his mom now resides in the Houston area so the Ags would have that working for them if this relationship gets more serious. It sounds like to me that both parties are just gauging interest at this point, but like I said, if he shows up this weekend, I think you'll see the Aggie staff make an offer. The 6-4, 320 pound Carvin can play inside or outside. -I continue to hear that Jim Turner is in contact with St Pius tackle Tyler Vrabel, and that Vrabel continues to go back and forth with the idea of grayshirting at A&M. The son of the Houston Texans DC is currently committed to Boston College.

Weekend recruiting recap
With all the commotion over the weekend, our recruiting team wanted to recap some of the bigger notes and give the key updates coming off the Ags' game with Alabama. -Official visitors were California DE Jeremiah Martin, California TE Camren McDonald (USC), DB commit Jordan Moore, and K/P commit Seth Small -Jason spoke with Martin, and Jeremiah's responses matched up pretty well with what we were hearing from our sources regarding the strength of the visit. In fact, one California insider went so far as to say if Signing day were this week, Martin would be an Aggie. -2019 Cuero ATH Jordan Whittington was a late add to the visitor list, and he told me yesterday that the weekend trip may have been the best in his numerous trips to Aggieland. He stayed the night and got to hang out with some of the guys on the team as well as commit and really close friend Jordan Moore. -Speaking of Moore, his early returns on the visit were incredibly positive. He was active on social media all weekend about how he made the best decision of his life to become an Aggie. I'll have a full, post official visit recap from Jordan and Seth Small soon.-Small's teammate, DL Moro Ojomo made it in for the game. No offer yet, but I've been told the A&M staff is very intrigued and will be out to evaluate him in person when Katy plays Strake Jesuit.-After the game, I spoke to two prospects committed elsewhere that were perhaps becoming more open to becoming Aggies after seeing that atmosphere in Kyle Field. The first one was Del Valle LB and Missouri commit Cameron Wilkins. While he said he was still good with Missouri, this was his second trip already to A&M, and he's now decided he'll take an official later this season. The other target committed elsewhere who left Kyle Field buzzing was 2019 St Pius WR Jalen Curry. The Florida St commit told me he'd never seen fans like that, and the Aggies were giving him some things to think about. Keep in mind that his best friend is 2019 QB commit Grant Gunnell. They rode together on Saturday with WR commit Chase Lane. -Staying at St Pius, 2018 OL Tyler Vrabel visited, and according to sources, it seriously entertaining the gray shirt idea from A&M. He's currently committed to Boston College (Jim Turner's alma mater), but there's a little more Maroon juice moving around.-Top WR target Jaylen Waddle was in Tallahassee this weekend on his official visit to Florida St, but I was able to catch up with a source very close to his recruitment on Saturday who let me know Bellaire Episcopal playmaker will visit A&M for a home game as well as officially after the season. Pretty important for the Ags to get him on campus twice before signing day. It was also relayed to me that it's essentially a top 3 of A&M, Alabama, and Florida St for Jaylen. -One cool thing for me when talking to a bunch of the commits that came in about the game was how often they used the word "we" when talking about the Aggies. Sounds like they've begun to take some ownership of their ability to help the team in the future. -Top DE target Joseph Ossai from Oak Ridge took his official visit to Texas this weekend, and it sounds like the Longhorns rolled out the red carpet. Ossai spent most of Sunday at Tom Herman's home. He'll wrap up his official visit tour with the Aggies in a few weeks. -2019 Oak Ridge OL Tyler Johnson was unable to make it to the Alabama game, but he did reschedule for Mississippi St-A pair of 2019 Katy area DE's made the trip this weekend in Taylor's Braedon Mowry and Mayde Creek's Marcus Stripling. The two are extremely close and have said they want to play college ball together. Mowry even went as far to say that the Aggies really enhanced their chances with the way they played at the atmosphere inside Kyle this weekend. Folks around Katy feel like the Ags are opening a pipeline at Taylor and are pretty positive that Mowry continues that trend. -2019 LSU OL commit Kenyon Green is widely considered one of the top prospects in the state and country. The Atascocita big man has been taking trips to different schools in the region recently, and the Tigers are having to hold off mainly the Aggies and Longhorns. Green spent some time talking within Gunnell this weekend about the opportunity and possibility of him playing football in College Station. At this point, it really wouldn't surprise me to see Kenyon go ahead and open this thing up. -A new offer went out this weekend to 2021 (yes, a freshman) Houston Christian OL Donovan Jackson. Jason was able to catch up with Donovan after the offer, and the kid was certainly excited. I have a strong source very close to the Houston Christian program that told me last week before the offer that the kid has grown up an A&M fan. He felt very strongly that the Aggie offer was the one he'd been waiting on. -I spoke briefly with Pima CC LB Bryant Pirtle this weekend as well. The recent A&M offer is regarded as one of the top JUCO LB's in America. He's been talking a lot with Kevin Sumlin recently and a visit is in the works. It seems like the Aggies' head man has taken a special interest in this one.-Lastly, a little baseball recruiting nugget...A&M baseball hosted 20 kids last weekend across 4 classes (2018-2021). I spoke with A&M's most highly regarded 2018 commit, George Ranch LHP Joseph 'Moo' Menefee. He's high on a lot of draft boards, but he made it known to me that his and his family's intentions are for him to come to school. I was told that the money offer would have to be "crazy high" for him not to come to A&M. The family said they've got too much Maroon in their veins. Moo is really good friends with defensive end commit Max Wright as well.

Monday night recruiting snippets
I've spent some time this evening gathering some info from across the A&M recruiting landscape, and there are some interesting things in the works...First, with the Aggies traveling to Dallas this week, some of the coaches will be out in the Metroplex on Friday night scouting. I've gotten word from east Texas that Terry Price plans to be in New Diana to A&M DE commit Tyree Wilson from West Rusk. I'm really intrigued by Wilson's ceiling the more I see him and after hearing Jason's recent report on him. The kid has a frame similar to that of Arden Key at LSU. Frisco Lone Star LB Nicholas Bolton is expected to have a high profile visitor Thursday night when he takes on Denton Ryan as Aggie DC John Chavis is expected to be in attendance. Bolton is off to a flying start to his senior campaign. The Washington commit would still like an A&M offer from what we're hearing. I mentioned 2018 St Pius OL Tyler Vrabel in my write up on last Friday night. The son of former NFL LB and current Texans defensive coordinator. Vrabel has really filled out over the summer. He's now at 6-5, 275. He's a young kid for his grade. In fact, he could technically be a junior from what I was told. I said on Friday that he reminds me of a guy Jimmy Turner would really like. Well, as it turns out, the Ags have been in communication with Vrabel. Currently committed to Boston College, Vrabel told me he was solid to the Eagles, but I've heard an A&M offer could be enticing. A second hand source even indicated that the Aggies would consider a gray shirt option because of Vrabel's age and current 2018 commit class - meaning he would count toward the 2019 class numbers. Looch mentioned as much on the radio today. Lastly, I mentioned in my notes earlier today that while Bobby Brown remains the primary target on the interior defensive line, some new or old names may emerge as the season unfolds. Tonight, a Houston source told me that the Aggies are interested in Katy DL Moro Ojomo. Ojomo is actually pretty similar to Corey Bethley from last year's cycle out of Katy. A little smaller, but a football playing dude. He's been highly productive when I've seen Katy play. Great energy and motor. The 6-3, 270 pounder has offers from Oklahoma St, Arizona St, Houston, and Ole Miss among others.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
