At the Ready: Ranking SEC's best quarterback situations

The Big 12 and Pac-12 are known as “quarterback” leagues, but close inspection shows that the Southeastern Conference is as good — or better — at the position.

Three of the last six Heisman Trophy recipients were SEC quarterbacks, including Florida’s Tim Tebow (2007), Auburn’s Cameron Newton (2010) and Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel (2012).

Also, since 2003 the SEC has produced eight quarterbacks who were selected in the first round on the NFL Draft. Four were the first player picked overall.
