FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — If Texas A&M Defensive Coordinator Mark Snyder so desired, he could stray from the 4-3 defense he prefers and consider an array of options.

He could try the 3-4 that R.C. Slocum once employed so successfully. Maybe he could go back in time to the old 5-2. He may try a 4-2-5, which is being used more frequently around the nation. He could really go throwback and try the 4-4 stack or the wide-tackle 6.
