It’s back to the future for the Southeastern Conference.

Make that backs to the future.

Once, the SEC was known as a college football league that produced elite running backs. Yet, in recent seasons SEC offenses have featured outstanding quarterbacks like Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, A.J. McCarron and Aaron Murray.

But 2014 appears to be a season in which the conference that produced Herschel and Bo will get back to its ground-oriented roots.
