Looming playoff a double-edged sword for SEC?

HOOVER, Ala. — Convention banners displayed in the local Galleria welcome the upcoming College Football Playoff.
A popular college football website distributed at Southeastern Conference Media Days coffee cups scrawled with the message: “Bring the playoff.”
There is an unmistakable buzz, excitement and anticipation in SEC territory for the long-awaited four-team tournament that will crown this season’s national champion.
