Once, Texas A&M’s defense moved you to cheer Sam Adams.
Last year, it made you want to chug Samuel Adams. Or any other libation that helped you cope with what you saw on Saturdays.
That defense was historically horrible. It was disastrously deficient. The Aggies allowed an average of 475.8 yards; that ranked 109th in the nation.
“We’ve got to play better. That’s all we can take from it,” senior cornerback Deshazor Everett said on Tuesday at Southeastern Conference Media Days.
