Don’t fire Coach Kevin Sumlin.
Even if Texas A&M loses its final three football games against Auburn, Missouri and LSU and stumbles to a mediocre 6-6 finish, do not fire Coach Kevin Sumlin.
Make firing a coach for a six-loss season an A&M tradition that won’t continue.
Of course, I’m being facetious.
Sumlin is not on the proverbial hot seat. His job is not in jeopardy. You don’t give a coach a raise to $5 million and then oust him for one disappointing year.
