Texas A&M Football Recruiting
Indeed, when Signing Day comes, odds are good Little's imprint will be visible all over the class. A prime example is his relationship with Nacogdoches S Brandon Jones, perhaps the top overall defensive target on A&M's board. No recruit is closer to Jones than Little, and you can bet he's selling joining him at A&M.
The 6-6, 308-pounder is still being recruited heavily by every college power that believes it still has a shot. As summer approaches, the franchise OT will begin visiting some programs that he believes warrant a look. In addition to A&M, he has visit plans in the works for LSU, Georgia, Ohio State, USC, UCLA and Alabama. Led by assistant Ed Warriner, the Buckeyes are currently recruiting Little harder than anyone.
Naturally, A&M fans will choose to worry about these visits. More than a couple things would have to go wrong, however, for A&M to be in jeopardy of losing its crown jewel of the 2016 class. In the past two recruiting cycles there isn't a recruit I've gotten to know or spoken with more than Little, and at times he's more obsessive than even TexAgs posters on how A&M will fill out its recruiting class and if needs will be addressed. At this time, there isn't anything to worry about.

The Latest: 2016 Allen OT Greg Little
Texas A&M's 2016 recruiting class jumped out of the gates roaring when Little — the country's top overall prospect — gave his verbal pledge to Kevin Sumlin during a visit last year. In the process, the staff added an extra recruiter ... one with as much influence as anyone among blue chip recruits in the United States.Indeed, when Signing Day comes, odds are good Little's imprint will be visible all over the class. On recently qualifying for The Opening...
"That was a goal of mine. I'm looking forward to it. I like getting out and seeing other top players from around the country."On some of his relationships with other recruits...
"I still keep in touch with Tyler Vaughns. After the Under Armour game we were staying in touch almost every day. He likes A&M a lot. The kid from Africa who's his teammate was a beast, I thought. He's a good guy. I still stay in touch with Brandon (Jones) all the time as well as Deontay (Anderson)."On continuing to recruit for A&M...
"You know I'm always doing that. I think we're going to have one of the best classes this year. We need to get some more DBs and playmakers. We'll be alright. I really like our chances with the WR from Navasota (Tren'Davian Dixon). I knew he was going to decommit from Baylor. He was unstoppable last year."On what's going on...
"I have a track meet Friday. I'll chill with my girlfriend Saturday, and on Sunday I'm going to Cedar Hill for the Rivals Challenge. I've just got spring ball and track right now that's ahead. I'll be working out a lot as well, obviously."On where his upcoming visit tour around the country will stop...
"I don't have my schedule yet, but I'll see about seven schools. Alabama, Georgia, LSU, UCLA, USC, Ohio State and A&M are the schools I'll visit this summer."On the schools talking to him...
"All those programs are recruiting me pretty heavily right now. I'd say Ohio State is recruiting me the hardest. Ed Wardner is the lead recruiter recruiting me for them."On the relationship between he and new A&M OL Coach Dave Christensen...
"I've talked to him a couple times and he's a pretty cool dude. I like him. He says to keep calling him and stay in touch."On rumors he's simply keeping his commitment to avoid the A&M fan fallout...
(Laughing.) "Nobody besides myself is making the decision. I wouldn't be a commit if I didn't plan on going to A&M."Never miss the latest news from TexAgs!
