Every fall, football recruiting cycles
come and go — boiling gifted young men's very lives down into a
kaleidoscope of ratings, rumors and Friday night lights.
The decision, ultimately, is a minute part — a necessary end — of a much larger journey. The path is littered with sycophants, onlookers, interjections and forks in the road.
"On an Island" follows Brandon Jones of Nacogdoches, the nation's No. 1 safety recruit, as he navigates the highs, lows and obstacles of his process.
This is a coveted recruit's reality.
This is Brandon's story.
