PASADENA, Cal. — Technically, Texas A&M’s 45-44 loss to UCLA on Sunday night was the second-worst collapse in college football history.
But in reality it was probably the worst.
A&M squandered a 34-point lead, which is one point less than Northwestern let get away against Michigan State in 2006. But that was a poor Northwestern team that finished 4-8 and was in its first season under coach Pat Fitzgerald.
