In their final exhibition game before the start of the regular season, Gary Blair and the A&M women's basketball came out and dominated the Oklahoma City Stars from start to finish en route to 86-35 victory at Reed Arena.

It was a full team effort for the Aggies on Monday night as 12 different players recorded double digit minutes in the win. Senior guard Danni Williams led the Aggies in the scoring departement, pouring in 18 points in her 26 minutes of action. Williams was deadly from long range, making four of her seven attempts beyond the arc.

Williams is one of three returning starters for the Aggies from last years squad, another being senior forward, Khaalia Hillsman. Hillsman was extremely efficient in the contest scoring 16 points and grabbing five rebounds in only 17 minutes of action.

The most impressive performance of the night however belonged to freshman Chennedy Carter. "That little kid named Carter, she is going to be something special," said A&M head coach Gary Blair. He added, "What I was really pleased with was Chennedy's seven assists and zero turnovers."

Carter would finish the night with 15 points, seven assists and that all important zero turnovers.

The other player who saw action at the point guard position alongside Carter was graduate transfer Lulu McKinney. "Lulu is a very steadying person for her offense, she knows the offense very well," remarked Blair follwoing the game.

McKinney, the daughter of A&M's running backs coach Clarence McKinney could play a big role for the Aggies in the 2017-18 season. Last season's one of the Aggies undoing was the lack of depth at the guard position forcing Knox to play seemingly every minute of every game during A&M's tournament run.

Up next, the Aggies will officially begin regular season play Friday evening from Reed Arena when they host the University of Houston for the first round of the Woman's preseason NIT tournament. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
