Senior Khaalia Hillsman was nearly unstoppable on offense and led the No. 19 Aggies (13-4, 2-1 SEC) to an 82-73 road victory over Auburn on Sunday afternoon.

Hillsman had a career-high 31 points, shot 10-11 from the field and finished with 10 rebounds, notching a double-double. Her inside presence was the key to A&M’s win.

True freshman Chennedy Carter followed suit with a 22-point game and grabbed seven rebounds. Danni Williams was third on the team in scoring with 16 points, while Anriel Howard was active on the glass, grabbing nine boards.

Janiah McKay (25), Unique Thompson (22) and Daisa Alexander  (17) all scored in the double-digits for the Tigers.

Both Alexander and McKay helped Auburn cut into A&M’s lead late in the fourth quarter, but the offensive attack from Carter and Hillsman was enough to put the game out of reach. The duo combined to score 21 points in the final frame.

A&M returns to action Thursday night to host Tennessee in another SEC matchup at Reed Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
