That pass play at the 17 min mark is an example of why I think this passing scheme is outdated. 2 wrs run a button hook, the 3rd wr runs a down and in, right into one of the wrs (or tight end) doing a button hook. Then blame qb for a bad pass. Ugly. Nothing about that play works against a defense that plays within 5 yards of los. No one going deep, to get secondary to backup? No pick plays, nothing. 3 or 4 wrs running 5-10 yards downfield and turning around is just dumb. Saw that a lot under Sumlin and still seeing it. Why is it soo hard to watch Briles Baylor and OU and just copy some of that?
