• I was excited, you know. I don’t say this to be ungrateful, but I was thinking “about time.”
   
• I remember coming out of Bryan HS, playing a 3-4 defense as a lineman and Coach Johnson telling me, “you’re going to play the same kind of defense.” I was ignorant. Then I got to A&M where the athletes are a lot better and realized that wasn’t going to work.
