Aggies excited for opportunity to stay local, play 'Pokes in Texas Bowl

Texas A&M football coach Jimbo Fisher has beaten LSU in College Station and lost in Baton Rouge. But the real key to success against the Tigers may be winning in Houston.

Both programs — along with just about everyone else — recruit the Houston area heavily and need every edge they can find in the nation’s fourth-largest city.

Fisher hopes to use Texas A&M’s appearance in the upcoming Texas Bowl as leverage with recruits.
