Trey Moore.......... RHP?

Just messing with you...it is such an incredible honor to be mentioned alongside those players. Sooooo many great players have dawned the maroon and white during those years. The list of guys not included is just as impressive as the ones that made the cut.

Whoever said winning isn't everything, never won anything.

We also honored Beau Bell '31 as well a couple weeks ago...

From Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame

CLASS 1931

SPORT(S) Baseball
Said to be first All-American from A&M for any sport, Bell earned All-American accolades as a centerfielder in 1931. An All-SWC player in 1931, Bell was a member of the 1931 SWC championship team. Starting with the St. Louis Browns in 1931, Bell played eight years in the major leagues with a lifetime batting average of .297. He later coached A&M baseball from 1951 to 1958, taking the Aggies to baseball titles in 1951 and 1955 and on to a College World Series appearance in 1955

Hey T'Mo,
do you remember playing whiffleball in Elsie Duncan Olsen Grove during the '93 regionals? My account of it is in the link below.

I know longevity plays into these discussions, but Kalich and Hoffman both put up some gaudy bullpen numbers.

The only thing leaving Hoffman off a mention if I were making a list would be that he was only here for a year, but his impact on that team was fairly significant.

14 saves (I think he only failed to convert one opportunity, but I could be corrected here)
33 appearances
55.0 IP
53 Ks in those 55 innings
31 of those Ks against SEC or postseason opponents
Only gave up one long ball
Crazy muttering on the mound

Beerer's 2003 season and .89 WHIP, and the fact that he played in the field as well make him a great choice for any list, but Hoffman did have a season for the books.

Great debate.

Beerer was two-way and why i think he is the best one year player I have seen.

Beerer had two more wins and one less save (19 wins responsible for as opposed to 18), better WHIP and K/9IP while Hoffman had better ERA and gave up three less HRs. Beerer also allowed only 5 extra base hits (1 2Bs and 4 HRs).

Two great years for sure!

Jose Duran was also a very good one-year player.

Craig Kuzmic was a really good one year guy that carrier a pretty so-so 1998 offense.
