The 10-game SEC schedule at midseason: What works, what doesn’t and what’s next?

Jimbo Fisher got his start as a Division II football player at what was then known as Salem College, located less than 15 miles from Fisher’s hometown of Clarksburg, W.Va. It’s where he first played for Terry Bowden, building a relationship that would ultimately kickstart Fisher’s coaching career at Samford’s Division I-AA program.

“If Division II wasn’t there when I played college football, would I be coaching today?” Fisher wonders now.
