Louisiana safety Jardin Gilbert joins Texas A&M's 2021 signing class
The recruiting train keeps chugging along in College Station. Jimbo Fisher and Mike Elko have gone across state lines to add another top tier player to their 2021 class as White Castle, Louisiana safety Jardin Gilbert has announced he is headed to Texas A&M. The 6-1, 180 pounder joins Beggs (OK) native Kendal Daniels as the safeties in this class.
On tape, Gilbert shows great range and vision on the back end. A plus athlete, he’s got a wiry frame that will hold weight with ease. He also shows up plenty in the run game. To me, he’s a Justin Evans starter kit. You can view his highlight tape below.
The addition of Gilbert moves the Aggie class to 22 total players, and while A&M currently has incoming freshmen from eight different states, Jardin is the first player from Louisiana to be added to the group.
