Los Angeles Rams select Bobby Brown in the fourth round, 117th overall
Bobby Brown continued a surge in Texas A&M defensive linemen being selected in the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Brown was selected in the fourth round of the draft by the Los Angeles Rams. This marks the third consecutive year and fourth time in the last five years that an A&M defensive lineman was picked in the NFL Draft.
NFL mock drafts had projected Brown as a third-round pick.
Justin Madubuike was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round last year. In 2019, Kingsley Keke was taken in the fifth round by the Green Bay Packers, and Daylon Mack was taken in the fifth round by the Ravens.
Myles Garrett was the first-overall selection in the 2017 draft by the Cleveland Browns. Daeshon Hall was taken in the third round by the Carolina Panthers that year.
Brown arrived at Texas A&M in 2018 as a four-star recruit out of Arlington Lamar. A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher defeated Alabama to get Brown’s signature.
The massive 6-foot-4, 325-pound junior earned All-SEC honors last season, in which he posted 22 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
