Key notes from Billy’s analysis of Jones
- I like Myles Jones at No. 11. For him, it's all about being healthy. He had a foot injury at the end of last season, and that scares the hell out of you with a skill guy. If he's healthy, the Aggies have a great 1-2 punch at corner.
- He struggled last year early against Alabama, but then he really settled in throughout the rest of the season. I think he is a high-end SEC corner with lots of length and speed. He's also a veteran who has seen a ton of playing time during his time in Aggieland. This was a guy who made his debut against UCLA at the Rose Bowl.
- This is a defense where the back seven have Jones, Aaron Hansford and Keldrick Carper coming back as ‘super’ seniors. That's a TON of experience. And you combine that experience with the young talent that they've brought in.
- Myles Jones and Jaylon Jones are two guys that this secondary are going to lean on. Look at the Tennessee game last year, the Vols opened the game going after Brian George. It's good that Brian George got that experience, but A&M is going to need Myles to keep this group together.
