2022 five-star North Shore CB Denver Harris signs with Texas A&M
Texas A&M has again fought off some of the top programs in the country to land an elite defensive back today as North Shore standout Denver Harris has chosen to play his college football in Aggieland.
It has been a long time coming as Jimbo Fisher and his staff have been hard on the trail of Harris for nearly two years now.
The highly-coveted cover man combines outstanding athleticism with requisite length and physicality to produce some of the best one-on-one skills amongst high school prospects in America. He’s adept at lowering his hips to change direction and shows top-end explosiveness and short-area quickness. His lower center of gravity and strength make him competitive at the top of routes, and he flashes plus ball skills when challenged. You can view his tape below.
The 6-1, 180-pounder had offers from just about every power program in the country, but he ultimately signed with the Aggies over Texas, LSU and Alabama.
Harris’ addition moves the A&M class to 27 in number and puts the defensive back haul at 6 — joining Bryce Anderson, Jarred Kerr, Bobby Taylor, Deyon Bouie and Marquis Groves-Killebrew.
Another big fish in the boat for Texas A&M in 2022.
