Basketball (23-12, 9-9 in SEC)
Buzz Williams & Co. put together an amazing Cinderella run to the SEC Tournament championship game, knocking off a number of ranked opponents in the process.
- Friday: Texas A&M 67, No. 4 Auburn 62
- Tyrece Radford led the way with 19 points.
- Quenton Jackson scored 17, and Henry Coleman III had 16.
- Saturday: Texas A&M 82, No. 15 Arkansas 64
- The Aggies led by 12 points at the break.
- Jackson had a team-high 20 points.
- Three other Aggies scored in double figures: Hassan Diarra (12), Radford (11) and Coleman (10).
- Hayden Hefner had nine, including a two-handed dunk.
- Sunday: No. 9 Tennessee 65, Texas A&M 50
- The Vols jumped out to a 14-0 lead, and the Aggies never recovered, playing their fourth game in as many days.
- Radford had 13 points, and Coleman had 12.
Despite winning eight of their last ten, including a seven-game winning streak, the Aggies were inexplicably left out of the NCAA Tournament field of 68 on Sunday evening. However, the Maroon & White play in the NIT, beginning on Tuesday night.
- Texas A&M hosts Alcorn State at Reed Arena for an 8 p.m. CT tip on Tuesday.
- The first-round matchup between the Aggies and Braves will be broadcasted on ESPN2.
Baseball (10-5, 0-0 in SEC)
With SEC play looming, Jim Schlossnagle’s Aggies earned a “small victory” this weekend in the form of a series victory over the Santa Clara Broncos at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

Texas A&M suffered three hard-fought losses on the road at No. 20 Auburn this weekend.

- Auburn tied the game with an unearned run in the seventh before Denver Bryant hit a walk-off home run in the eighth.

- The Aggies led 3-1 before a three-run bottom of the fifth put Auburn ahead.

Men’s Tennis (13-6, 3-0 in SEC)
Head coach Steve Denton became the all-time winningest coach in Texas A&M tennis history when the Aggies defeated Mississippi State on Sunday afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center. The win over Mississippi State was Denton’s 319th career victory and was the third of four A&M wins this weekend.

Track & Field
At the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Texas A&M won three national event titles.
- Lamara Distin won the women’s high jump with a clearance of 6-3.5/1.92m.
- Brandon Miller won the men’s 800m with a time of 1:47.19, leading the race from the get-go.
- The men’s 4x400m relay team of Miler, Omajuwa Etiwe, Chevannie Hanson and Emmanuel Bamidele won the Aggies’ third event title with a time of 3:04.16.
- Texas A&M’s men finished fifth with 26 points.
- Texas A&M’s women finish tenth with 24 points.
Women’s Golf
Behind the lowest round in program history, No. 19 Texas A&M finished as the runner-up at the 2022 Clover Cup at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.
- The Aggies shot a 14-under 274 in Sunday’s final round. The previous low was 13-under at the 2019 Battle at the Beach and the 2014 Alamo Invitational.
- Blanca Fernández García-Poggio tied a program record on Sunday, shooting an 8-under 64.
- Jennie Park finished tied for second and posted a career-low 8-under 208 for the weekend.
Men’s Golf
No. 21 Texas A&M opens the 37th Louisiana Classics tournament on Monday in Lafayette.
- A&M’s lineup includes Sam Bennett, Walker Lee, William Paysse, Phichaksn Maichon and Dani Rodrigues. Evan Myers will compete as an individual.
- The tournament begins on Monday, March 14, and will conclude on Tuesday, March 15.
- Louisiana Lafayette hosts the event at the 6,898-yard Oakbourne Country Club.
- The tournament will be streamed on ESPN+.
Equestrian (11-3, 5-1 in SEC)
No. 1 Texas A&M was upset by No. 2 Oklahoma State on Senior Day at Hildebrand, 9-8.
- Rhian Murphy won Most Outstanding Performer honors for flat.
- Hayley Riddle won Most Outstanding Performer honors for horsemanship.
