Aggie quarterbacks raise money, donate NIL earnings to Kidz1stFund

This past Saturday, TexAgs hosted its 12th annual TexAgs Preseason Kickoff presented by Roberts Family Foundation to help raise money and awareness for Jimbo Fisher’s Kidz1stFund to fight against Fanconi Anemia.

Fisher, basketball coach Buzz Williams, baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle and Director of Athletics Ross Bjork spoke at the event, and several A&M athletes were in attendance.

Also in attendance were all three Texas A&M scholarship quarterbacks — Haynes King, Max Johnson and Conner Weigman — who had the opportunity to attend as a part of a Name, Image & Likeness deal, where they signed footballs and attendees could pay to catch a pass and keep the football.

Of course, that portion of the program was a huge hit as those in the crowd were fired up to help #BTHOfa and catch a pass from a Fightin’ Texas Aggie quarterback.

For the chance to catch a pass, an attendee had to donate $500 to Kidz1stFund. King, Johnson and Weigman threw nine autographed balls at $500 a piece.

These actions raised $4,500 for the Kidz1stFund, but the Aggies signal-callers didn’t stop there.

King, Johnson, and Weigman donated all their NIL earnings — $2,000 each — to the Kidz1stFund for a total of $10,500 raised by the A&M QBs.

Kidz1stFund was created by A&M football coach Jimbo Fisher and his ex-wife Candi as a way to raise awareness, money and fight against Fanconi Anemia, a rare blood disorder that affects their son Ethan along with thousands of other children every year.

In total, TexAgs’ 2022 Preseason Kickoff raised over $50,000 to help fight Fanconi Anemia.

awesome job by organizers, sponsors, each quarterback and the donors. Those donors who dropped the passes live in glass houses and should not criticize should a ball be dropped this season.

Drops should've tacked on another $500
