2023 Temple linebacker Taurean York commits to Texas A&M
The Aggies continue their run of commitments as the December Signing Period approaches, and this time Jimbo Fisher and his crew tap into Central Texas at linebacker as Temple standout linebacker Taurean York makes his decision.
York received an offer from the Aggies in early December, and he quickly scheduled his official visit. He took his official visit to Aggieland on the weekend of Dec. 16, and York did not hesitate to make his decision.
At 5-foot-11, 225 pounds, York has been a mainstay in the middle of the Temple defense for years and has established himself as one of the top defensive stoppers in Central Texas. He is a heady competitor known for his quick reads, decisive action and his ability to arrive angry.
York originally committed to Baylor in February 2022, but he re-opened his recruitment in December. He chose the Aggies over offers from Duke, Colorado, Ole Miss, SMU and others, and he becomes the Aggies’ 15th commitment to the 2023 recruiting class and second of the evening, joining Marcel Reed.
York will graduate in December and enroll at Texas A&M in January.
