Apex Performance of the Week: Dodgers are scorching in August

In this week's Apex Performance of the Week, we highlight the Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners. The Dodgers have captured wins in nine of their last 10 games while the Mariners sit two back in the AL West after winning seven straight and sweeping the Astros.

David Nuño’s Performance of the Week: Los Angeles Dodgers

• Richard Zane's Dodgers have won nine of their last 10 games, but it goes deeper than that. They've also won 13 of their last 14 contests and gone 17-2 in August. They are playing phenomenally right now. Are they peaking too early? That's always the question, but this is about the time you want to be peaking.
   
• I also want to add Texas A&M to this because they've been recruiting really well. They're back in the top 10 for recruiting rankings. They got Blake Ivy‍ last week, and they could get some more here in the next couple of weeks. They deserve a lot of props.

Olin Buchanan’s Performance of the Week: Seattle Mariners

• The Seattle Mariners have won seven in a row and are now two games out of first place in the American League West. They just swept the Houston Astros.
   
• The Texas Rangers have fallen like a rock. They're dying.
