Looking back on what was learned, loved and loathed from Texas A&M’s 52-10 college football season-opening victory over New Mexico.

The offseason hype of Noah Thomas was true. Throughout the spring, we kept hearing the 6-foot-6 sophomore receiver was emerging as a major big-play threat. He showed why. Thomas caught six passes for 74 yards and three touchdowns. His scoring grabs were from 34, 15 and nine yards.

Transfer cornerback Josh DeBerry is really good.
