Texas A&M adds former Kansas OL Ar’maj Reed-Adams via transfer portal
The Maroon & White have been looking to add some beef to the offensive front, and Mike Elko and his staff have struck big as offensive lineman Ar’maj Reed-Adams announced his plans to transfer from Kansas to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-5, 325-pound standout started 11 games and played left guard and right tackle for the Jayhawks as a junior in 2023. He played in 13 games as a redshirt sophomore in 2022, played in three games as a sophomore in 2021 and played five — including three starts — as a freshman in 2020.
Reed-Adams originally signed with Kansas in the class of 2020. He earned a three-star ranking as an offensive tackle prospect out of DeSoto (TX), and he chose the Jayhawks over offers from North Texas, Rice, Southern Miss, Utah State and New Mexico State.
He becomes the Aggies’ 16th addition from the transfer portal, and Reed-Adams is the second transfer offensive lineman. In addition to the Aggies, he also received attention from Tennessee and Oklahoma, to name a few.
