Buzz Williams recaps evening the series with the Bayou Bengals

Texas A&M earned its second conference win in a close-call victory against LSU on Saturday. Head coach Buzz Williams joined TexAgs Radio to detail the series with the Bayou Bengals and how his squad has adapted despite who is on the floor.

• LSU, the first time, was our 14th game. In our first 13 games, there were signs of us knowing who we were. I did not think game No. 1 against LSU we were that all. I was disappointed on a lot of levels. They are categories we wanted to do more, and it was the first time in 18 or 19th months we lost a home game. 
   
• We have done a really good job defensively. We have defensive rebounded the ball the best since I have been here. We are good on the offensive glass. I like the things we are doing defensively before the shot goes up. When you finish the possession with a defensive rebound, everything looks better. 
   
• I did not know that Texas A&M had never won consecutive years at LSU.
   
• I think that is the least number of minutes Wade Taylor IV has received since he was a freshman. I do not like him not playing. I have more peace when he is on the floor. The stress of him not playing was good for the team.
   
• Henry Coleman III could not go at all on Tuesday. When we lose one, it hurts. His injury is not good. His toughness and willinginess to give us 10 minutes, you could argue Henry is the reason we won. It gives us moving ability. I know, statistically, he did not provide his normal.
   
• I was telling the coaches and Andrew Monaco that we are already on the way to the offensive glass before we shoot. Wade may need an outlet to throw the ball to. 
   
• I cannot believe we are among the worst in 3-point field goal percentage and effective field goal percentage, and our offense is 25th. It is because we try not to turn it over, and we rebound half the shots we miss. We miss a lot. 
   
• Our team gets report cards. Those are talked about during the game. It has become a part of the fabric of what we do.
