On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as No. 3 Aggie baseball won the series against South Carolina, softball beat Kentucky and much more.

Baseball
No. 3 Texas A&M took the series against then #22 South Carolina, 2-1. That is A&M’s third straight win in the SEC.

The Maroon & White return home to Blue Bell Park Tuesday night for a midweek contest against UTSA at 6 p.m.

Softball
Trisha Ford’s Aggies also won their series over Kentucky, 2-1, dropping Sunday’s pitching duel.

Texas A&M travels for a Saturday-Monday series at Alabama beginning April 13 at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN2.

Track & Field
A&M’s Timara Chapman and Lamara Distin recorded nation-leading marks in the women’s heptathlon and high jump, respectively, on the final day of the 44 Farms Team Invitational Saturday at E.B. Cushing Stadium.

Chapman won two of the three events to total 6219 points. That mark ranks her No. 1 in the nation for the heptathlon this year and entered her in the Aggie history books at No. 2 all-time.

Distin opened her outdoor campaign winning the women’s high jump with the No. 1 mark in the nation, as she soared over 1.96m/6-5.

Golf
MGolf: Texas A&M men's golf standout Jaime Montojo made a hard charge on the final seven holes to claim his first career collegiate title, earning co-medalist honors along with Louisiana Tech's Niilo Maki-Petaja at 1-over 217.

WGolf: Texas A&M's Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio and Hailee Cooper wrapped up their week at the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur at the historic Augusta National Golf Course on Saturday.

Fernández García-Poggio tied for 20th in her second career showing. Cooper, in her first experience at the Augusta National Women's Amateur, came in 35th.

The Maroon & White return to team competition at the 2024 SEC Championships April 12-16 in Belleair, Florida. They will look to defend their conference title from last year as postseason is set to begin.

Tennis
WTEN: Beat Arkansas, 4-1
MTEN: Lost to Arkansas, 3-4

Swim & Dive
Texas A&M Director of Athletics Trev Alberts announced the department’s plan to combine the men’s and women’s swimming & diving program Friday afternoon.

With the retirement of women’s swimming & diving head coach Steve Bultman this year after an impressive 25 years at the helm, the decision was made to create a new position that would lead both programs moving forward. A national search for a Director of Texas A&M Swimming & Diving has begun as the department continues its work with search firm TurnkeyZRG.
