Around Aggieland (5/17)
On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as Aggie baseball won the opener against Arkansas, softball prepares to host the Bryan-College Station Regional and much more.
Baseball
An incredible pitching duel turned into an 11-inning affair.
Hagen Smith: 6.0 IP, 2 H, 14 K, 0 BB
Ryan Prager: 7.0, IP 5 H, 9 K, 1 BB
Evan Aschenbeck was wonderful in relief as Ted Burton won it 1-0 with a walk-off walk.
Softball
Davis Diamond will play host to Texas State, Penn State and Albany as Trisha Ford's 16th-seeded Fightin' Texas Aggies begin NCAA Tournament play on Friday in the Bryan-College Station Regional.
All four teams in the field have an ace with below a 2.00 ERA. It should be a pitching-heavy weekend at Davis.
Women’s Golf
The No. 13 Texas A&M women's golf team is set to compete at the 2024 NCAA Championships, teeing off at 3:50 p.m. to begin stroke play.
Men’s Golf
The No. 19 Texas A&M men's golf team earned a spot in next week's NCAA Championship with a third-place finish at the NCAA Stanford Regional.
Women’s Tennis
The No. 13 Texas A&M women's tennis team is set to face No. 5 Virginia in their third-consecutive NCAA Elite 8 after upsetting the reigning national champions No. 4 North Carolina.
