For the second time in three years, Blue Bell Park will host the NCAA Tournament.

And was there any doubt?

On Sunday evening, the NCAA announced the 16 host sites for next weekend’s regional round of the 2024 NCAA Baseball Tournament.

At 44-13 overall, it should come as no surprise that Texas A&M is among the hosts.

With the 2024 Bryan-College Station Regional finally a reality, next week will be the 13th time a regional has come to Aggieland since the construction of Olsen Field in 1978.

Two years ago, the Aggies swept their way through back-to-back weekends at Blue Bell Park, taking down Oral Roberts, Louisiana, TCU and Louisville (twice) on the Road to Omaha.

In 2024, the Maroon & White are 32-3 at The Corner of Bush & Olsen, and with their body of work, the Aggies likely expect a top-eight national seed, which would allow them the luxury of enjoying that home-field advantage for the next two weeks.

Along with A&M, four other Southeastern Conference programs were named regional hosts. Arkansas (Fayetteville), Georgia (Athens), Kentucky (Lexington) and Tennessee (Knoxville) will be at home in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Further, the other 11 hosts include Arizona (Tucson), Clemson, East Carolina (Greenville), Florida State (Tallahassee), North Carolina (Chapel Hill), NC State (Raleigh), Oklahoma (Norman), Oklahoma State (Stillwater), Oregon State (Corvallis), UCSB (Santa Barbara) and Virginia (Charlottesville).

A top-ten club all season long, Schlossnagle’s Aggies boast one of the nation’s top offenses and slugged their way to a 19-11 finish in SEC play. Combined with All-SEC hurlers Evan Aschenbeck and Ryan Prager, A&M hopes to ride its star power back to America’s Heartland.

Thought to be a lock for a top-eight national seed, A&M’s standing among the nation’s top 16 clubs, as well as the rest of the field of 64, will be announced on Memorial Day.

Monday’s NCAA selection show is set for 11 a.m. CT and will be televised on ESPN2.
