Slugger Hayden Schott reacts to his eligibily waiver being approved

His return is officially official as Hayden Schott finally received word that the NCAA has approved his eligibility waiver for the 2025 season. In an exclusive situation, Schott discussed the waiver process, his rehab following knee surgery and much more ahead of fall ball.

Excellent interview.

While Schott's case seemed like a slam dunk yes, it was a frustrating wait. It's good to hear about the support the players have here on campus while they wait - the level of communication as they work through the process. Yes, we all hope and expect that they have the support but it's good to hear the players recognize that support.

Other than that, I'm psyched for baseball, and showing Sleezenagel that knifing your own team in the back is ALWAYS a bad idea.

So glad to hear his "eligibily" (oops, might want to fix that!) waiver was finally approved, and he's coming back! Really great interview! What a well-spoken, intelligent, engaging young man!
