Every football coach at every level stressed the importance of creating and avoiding turnovers.

It’s no surprise that 2023 national champion Michigan led the nation in turnover margin. Also, college football playoff participants Alabama (17th) and Texas (30th) were among the nation’s top 30 in turnover margin.

Further, the “Power 5” teams ranked among the nation’s top ten in turnover margin were a combined 96-36. That’s a 73 percent winning percentage.
